Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks, Michael. In your image above, the rippled texture and translucent blue remind me of glassworks I’ve seen in art galleries where the artist has tried to mimic clouds and sky. Your cloudscape here is exquisite.
Soft Summer Cirrus
Patricia L KeelinParticipantAhhhh, so relaxing, Hans. Those lovely lazy waves must be located far from the waterfall.
Cirrus Cascade
Patricia L KeelinParticipantDanke je, Hans! And look who I found just yesterday while combing through a cache of cloud photos here. ’Tis another wee character who could be related to your Friendly Dragon. If so, he or she is to be commended for bravery, having crossed the pond at such an apparently young age.
Wee Friendly Dragon
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks for sharing with us, George! You say you’re just beginning to learn how to use these tools? Well done! And the waiting for dark image above is absolutely gorgeous. I can almost hear the peaceful quiet in that scene — an added bonus!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantYour Friendly Dragon is adorable, Hans! How do you suppose such a magical creature might lose a tooth? Could it be the result of biting down on an unpopped cloud corn kernel? There were a few amongst what dotted the sky on my flight home from Colorado.
If you look in the upper right corner, you might see an anteater, perhaps hoping to try a tasty new treat. He may also have been hoping the wee elephant in the mid-ground wouldn’t toss it all in his trunk.
Cloud Snackers
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove the sense of movement in your #840, Michael.
Afterthought
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you for sharing such beauties to softly close the day, Roma, Michael, and Hans. While I don’t catch sunsets as often as I’d like, the intensity of the one below drew me outdoors just in time a few evenings ago.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantSo perfectly balanced, Hans. Love the juxtaposition of that single, centered tree with the multitude of dominating cloudlets above it. What an amazing Asperitas event you witnessed there.
Feather And Fluff
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove the color, texture, and even the agitated feel in Great Start Of The Day, Hans, while the calming brush strokes of cloud in your #640 are the perfect follow up, Michael.
Cirrus Stalks In Summer
Patricia L KeelinParticipantHa! Hans, you had to be quick to have caught Faster Than Its Shadow! A dramatic composition with the cirrus audience watching the race.
Below, a contrail must have taken a moment to make sure this T was perfectly crossed. While I’ve only recently begun to capture alphabet clouds, I suspect other cloudspotters may have seen A-Z hovering above their noggins.
Iced Italic T
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you, Hans! Mysteries and more abound in this topic. It’s almost unbelievable how the sky can hold such diverse patterns and play.
A Softer B(l)oom
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you, Ian, for launching this topic, and to all for links to absolutely stunning images. Hoping to see such wonders dancing above my own noggin here. Eyes up as the sun goes down!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you for kind comments, George, and glad you dropped by for a dip in the Waves topic. While I live too far from the sea to suit my soul, I find the sky often offers to ease the longing.
Undercurrent
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you, Hans! So delighted to know you enjoyed the recent testings of your pareidolia prowess. I can only imagine what kind of cloud creature that backbone you found might belong to. It is worthy of something fantastical.
And who’s to say from whence came the tooth below? I suppose it matters not to the Tooth Fairy who will still offer some reward. Let’s just hope another will grow in its place.
A Visit From The Tooth Fairy
Patricia L KeelinParticipantCongratulations on your “moth-eaten” Cloud of the Day, Hans! Depending on how hungry one is while observing the image, it might also appear as a delicious cloud cannelloni. Yum! I imagine you will always remember where you were when you took this series, recalling now a similar one you shared with us on the B&W topic a couple of mo(n)ths back, which was also mesmerizing.
