Hans StockerParticipantKeelin, I see clearly left under the sun the bright colors you mention but also colors that surround the sun. This seems to me to be iridescence. It often shows rather close to the sun. A ring around the sun is the corona which is basically the same effect as iridescence. The corona might have been better visible with the naked eye (always be careful to protect your eyes looking in the direction of the sun!) but is difficult to capture with too much back-light from the sun and thus might be much less visible on the picture being drowned in the whites of the sun. This is what atoptics says about it:
Does that makes sense?
Hans StockerParticipantAnd ……. thank you Keelin. I can see the puppy and the two-headed dragon as well. It is indeed the mood that influences the perception. I hope you are in a good mood since I can’t make that up from your silly words. Can’t believe it.
Hans StockerParticipant
When the moon is a cold chiseled dagger
(from ‘Black Wings’ by Tom Waits)
Hans StockerParticipantThis gentle sundog caught my eye at sunset lately in France.

Two Versions
Hans StockerParticipantVery nice Ruth, these 5 parallel lines. I know they have been rare lately but I assume they will re-enter the sky dominantly soon….. unfortunately maybe? … but on the other hand they can offer surprising views.

Just One
Hans StockerParticipantJust Drifting By certainly inspires calm Keelin. I hope to contribute with

Calm Ripples
Hans StockerParticipantAll very gentle waves of asperitas Michael. Here is one that looks like the skin of some reptile. What do you think. Does it belong to this thread?

Scales
Hans StockerParticipantHa, thanks Keelin. How could I miss the cow? Funny to experience puppy and cow can’t be unseen anymore. As well as the corn of course.
Great Poodle Puppy Jumper. It is being watched by a cloudspotter looking through the blinds.

Watching The Puppy Play Through The Blinds
Hans StockerParticipantIn this thread it is indeed all happening in the Zoo Keelin. I am not sure about the Cow in the Cornfield, for I see this cute little head of a doggy with flapping ears that reminds me of Tommy from sesame street. Tony the Tiger is unmistakable.
Another doggy here with an itchy back.

Ahhh, good good, now scratch a bit lower please
Hans StockerParticipantSounds good Purple Haze, Ruth.

Getting In Tune
Hans StockerParticipantHello Batman, I hope you will succeed many more times to capture decent pictures of clouds (your words). For this one is a stunning capture. It looks like all the water is poured out at once. On the second one I suspect some little parts of a rainbow to be there.
I hope the Batman returns….
Hans StockerParticipantA monumental start of this Volume IV Michael. Great composition. I am like Keelin ‘Excited In All Directions’.

Smoothly
Hans StockerParticipantAfter some absence in this thread it is so nice to see what has been posted lately. Love ‘This That And Then Some’ by Keelin (the fantastic title as well!), ‘In Flux’ and ‘Peaking Out Of The Covers’ by Daniel, ‘Squeeze Of A Rainbow’ by Ruth and the different bluesy ones by Michael. All very inspiring.

Little Color But Enough
Hans StockerParticipantBack to Black (and White). Great cloud carrying a little one Keelin. I saw a fish with cleaning fish in it. Love it.
And a great first post by Trevor with lots of dynamics. I look forward for more Trevor!
And the good vibrations go on in this thread. Great play of lines in #179 Michael.

Scary or Friendly Looking?
Hans StockerParticipantWelcome back Laurence! I missed your contributions for too long. I truly hope you are doing well.
Sincerely , Hans
