ParticipantSo delighted to see our old friend, Hans! I figured it was only a matter of time before that frisky kid crossed the pond again.
Meanwhile, it looks like love is in the air for your Girlie Cloud With Botox Lips!
An Admirer

ParticipantThank you, Michael, for this dramatic launch into the next wave of B&W clouds! And Lisa, wow! A warm welcome to you and your keen eye for stunning imagery. Hope to see you here often and on other forum topics as well. Hans, even a tsunami could not extinguish our (de)light with this topic.
Hard acts to follow with such strong imagery from the three of you above. Can’t wait to see what the new tide brings in.
Potentiality

ParticipantYou’ve given us a fine riddle, Michael! As Hans noted, it seemed to come (literally!) out of the blue, and had me looking several times at the image with head atilt. Aha! Could it be that arched bit behind the cloud’s ridge that suddenly sparks paredolia? It does, in fact look like the head of a parking meter.
Well, I hope we won’t have to pay per hour if we do park our eyes in the clouds. And I wouldn’t really worry unless this is a sign of things to come. Then again, just yesterday, in the same area of the sky, there appeared something quite similar…
A Mere Meter Matter
Worries aside, I especially like your very scenic Arizona Color #831.
And wow, Ruth, Rhapsody in Blue is music to my eyes. Gorgeous!
And Hans, that cartoon has dreamlike qualities and ja, no translation is needed to decipher its humor. Clarity, aside, I also like Misty.

ParticipantThank you for kind words, Ruth. I look forward to your photos as well and enjoy your titles too.
And Gregory, your smile is contagious — no explanation required!

ParticipantWhat capricious winds you have there in AZ, Michael!
Diced vs. Shredded
Patricia L Keelin
ParticipantAh, lovely swirls of blues and grays above, Michael! Reminds me of dancing with abandon.
And Ruth, congratulations on your misty river photo featured on the Gallery today! That subtle hint of blue brings such a delightful sense of anticipation. What a beautiful image!
The Urge To Explore What’s Just Over The Ridge

ParticipantYes, indeed, there was a halo there, Hans. Always a joy to see — as was your lovely one spotted above Charigny, France, featured as Cloud of the Day! Congratulations! And love your noctilucent clouds above. I’ve yet to spot them here, but am on the lookout and hoping to catch the comet as well.

ParticipantLove the lighthearted feeling of Floating Fluffs, Hans, and the layering depth in #185, Michael.

ParticipantDaniel, Michael, Ruth, Hans, so many lovely images above! Your photos, even the most subtle of them, transport like magic carpet rides.

ParticipantBeautiful Buffalo, Ruth! I believe there’s room up there for all creatures, from…
Dragon, to…
Dragonfly, to…
Elephant and Starry-Eyed Stork…
and more—including the Mythical Unicorn that appeared on the CAS Gallery July 14th! A rare and lucky sighting, Hans!

ParticipantA savory stew, Ruth! And I agree about these reminder of the sea, the source and soul of splendors above.

ParticipantAh! That is so beautiful, Laurence. Thank you for posting the link. There’s another photo of the comet over Stonehenge (and further links) on their main website: https://apod.nasa.gov

ParticipantSo funny, Hans, and cleverly spotted! Let us hope this short tale about a long tail ends with a dragon pup who is just as playful as that little pooch. Otherwise, he could indeed be playing with fire!

Participant’Tis fun to see such great variation in these streaks across the sky. Sometimes it appears that all it takes is a single thread to keep a cloud from wandering off.
Minimally Tethered

ParticipantWow, Hans, what a fantastic sighting! Love to see that playful pair chasing each other across the heavenly seas. But who would have thought fun-loving dragons could create such a skyful of celestial dust? Had to get out that special vacuum tool and chase after them.

Note: the original photo (below) from which the image above was cropped had a different story to tell—more like a swan landing. But sometimes it’s just fun to see what other tales might be told, given a twist and a boost of contrast.
