ParticipantAfter a fingernail of moon by Keelin at the end of the former volume, this is a great start for Volume VIII. And a quick start as well. Surprises for sure Michael and Daniel. I try to stay in tune with the atmosphere of Nebula with next one.

ParticipantI saw another version of your Optical Delights on the gallery Keelin. Very nice. A delight for sure.
Daniel, a sun pillar is rather rare for me. It is a nice one. I am sure you will spot more optical phenomena when you look after them when the conditions are there. I like your free iridescence.
One almost can’t tell from the picture but next one is a true sundog . The reds are already shifted to the right (or rather the cloud already shifted to the left) leaving only a hint of blues and the bright whites.

ParticipantGreat explanation of your situation in the Valley of the Sun Michael and a;so from you daniel in the Pacific Northwest. It is obviously good cloud spotting over there. Great pictures from you both.
No hills or mountains over here in Flatland. Just dunes. Nevertheless asperitas will visit us each year some times. Here is one from last summer.

ParticipantJuan, that is a lovely happy Nubecita. I am curious for her stories!

ParticipantThanks Keelin. Your nice Skymoji is followed by a mysterious texture in blue by Michael.

ParticipantThank you and yes, the waves count for me Keelin. I love the tender colors in the sky you spotted with this hint of asperitas. These long and gentle waves are exactly what attracts me in asperitas.

ParticipantFor me the former posts are all Inspirational. Whether the clouds are smeared out, accumulated or roughened all great cloudscapes.

ParticipantThanks Daniel, like you say this seems to be a virtual community swim. Overwhelming water dancers, ushering in the storm, poetry in words and in images as well, here are some ….

ParticipantThat is a great capture of Optic Delights Keelin. A rare and amazing sight. You must have had a good day for sure.
Since here the circumstances aren’t favorable for halos at this time I had to look down in my archives.
Iridescence from France last year.

ParticipantSteven I think you captured these red rims just at the the right time. And the colors Keelin spotted surrounded by the silhouetted woods are very delicate. Love it. As I love the colors captured by Daniel. I can only say: Thy Ways Are Countless.
Such a pleasure to share our pictures in these worried time. I hope you all are healthy and save. Here we are all not really locked up yet but it feels that way keeping social distance.
So from distant Holland this sunset from France which I wanted to visit soon but unfortunately can’t the way it is now. Bizar.

ParticipantThank you Keelin. Yes, ‘de krul is een beetje vreugde’ indeed. I really had fun developing it in LR.
Speckled feather is beautiful and delicate while #157 is on fire Michael. Keelin seems to want to extinguish – or rather detangle? – the fire with a firm shower.

ParticipantI love Time to Frolic Keelin. It radiates a happy freshness. To me it is an impressionistic masterpiece and I feel spring is on its way.
Nevertheless my next one seems to fit more to your former one with the hungry-looking something. Sorry to disturb this feeling of spring.

ParticipantThat is a vivid one indeed Gregory. Great colors and lots of energy in it.
And welcome Daniel and Steven. I am happy to see more contributors and I love your posts. It seems to me that the start of the communities also triggered more use of the Forum and that is a good thing. Let’s keep it going.
I noticed that Daniel has a website with a lot of his work as a photographer, among which many beautiful cloudy sceneries. A treasure in my opinion and more than worthwhile checking.
Here is one from an older series.

ParticipantGreat contrails Gregory and Steven. Hope to see more of you both on this thread. Contrails weren’t my favorites from the beginning but once they got my attention I also got surprised by the variaty and great spectacle they can offer.
Gregory you asked how many we see. I count 4 of them. Right? Did you both notice the contrail count game I mentioned at the start of this volume? Just scroll through this Volume from the start and find out where we are at now. It is a fun challenge to capture more! This one was made with the cloudspotter app.
