It took too long to reply on this one but Got Flowers is very funny Keelin, silver linings or not. No silver from me too (again).

Difficult to catch just one heartbeat of a wave, Keelin, but you succeeded and captured some spare ribs as well. Your Lac du Nuages is atrue optical illusion of the new ages.

I am curious about you findings on the summit you are looking forward to. I can’t find the dates anymore on the site. It must be somewhere around this week I remember.

Wow Michael, your Cloudscape #65 has great depth.

Haha, you spotted me well in France George. On the B&W thread you will find a French B&W, on the Halos and rainbows thread a french rainbow and on the color thread a french untitled one. All taken last week.

Hello Hygge, too busy with Hillier garden wildlife that you missed Alec’s leave?

I did some forum archeology for you to find out when he left the forum.

On the 8th of January 2018 Alec wrote on the Sunrises and sunset Volume II thread: “The millstone slows and finally comes to rest. The sky is on fire and the Earth is silent once more….”.

This was his last contribution to the forum. A poetic one for sure.

On the 26th of December 2017 Alec announced his upcoming leave in Contrail Thread Volume I in this way:

“Ok folks, I am not sure when I have to leave but my time here is short before I have to attend to other matters with Dr. Corvidova. I’ll try to cram in as much as I am able to before my departure. There is something particularly aeolian about this one that I like.”

Replying to Keelin that same day he also wrote:

Keelin, other projects beckon and after all I am under obedience to the great Doctor. I am not sure when I will receive the call but I promise to all here that I shall return when my duties and responsibilities have been fulfilled.

You are still perfecting ways to surpise us with your Arizona B&W’s Michael. Especially #49 is amazing. And then Keelin fits in perfectly in this series with Scratched. Good old black and white magic realism!

Beautiful catch this surfing dog Keelin! Love it.

A few days ago I was almost certain where to find the pot of gold at last ….

Sorry it took some time before I was able to answer George. I got the black background by firstly converting the pictures into black and white and giving them extra contrast. At that point I was almost there. Only some whitish blur was left over. To my surprise I could make the background completely black without wiping out the interesting trails by adjusting the levels in photoshop on the dark side of the graphic. Et voila. Surrealism is just around the corner. Champolion would have liked to decipher the message on the last one I suppose.

Thank you Keelin. You already noticed that your sleuthy figural did find me in no time?

Last week only beauties gathered on this thread. Arizona is a great hunting ground for impressive pictures Michael, as is your King of clouds (in all of its phases of development) on the gallery.

Windy and stormy maybe but spotting a beautiful Watercolor Bloom is very much worth to still your steps Keelin.

Next one I spotted last Saturday while at different places in the sky asperitas showed up. On this part of the sky the asperitas maybe was not that articulated but what struck me was the broad rim of precipitation in the background under. Nevertheless beautiful and warm weather. No rain has fallen.

Thank you very much Keelin. This one made me really laugh. The spotter is spotted indeed. The laughing one at the right spots a playful figural doing some funny shenanigans up left. Lovely!

Great detective Keelin. He found me the day you sent him for his search. Very funny too. I made a mistake writing in the B&W thread to be back the day after Eastern. I meant a week later. In that week I could only passively enjoy yours and others contributions on the forum. Meanwhile I went bird spotting again.

Nice treat Keelin. I agree about the subtle waves on Arizona Sunset #86 by Michael.
