Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks for the link to that dramatic shot, Hygee. Checked out Palmer’s website. His storm photos are truly stunning, and his night skies almost other-worldly.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantGreat compositions above, Michael.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantGreat contrast with crisp detail against the backdrop of that massive, nearly featureless cloud – a spectacular shot, Micheal!
In the image below, I quite liked the delicate, frayed edges of cloud that lay across a large section of that afternoon’s sky.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantMichael and Hans, the latest images from you on this thread are such a delight to see — over and over again. Lost Cloud In Reds and Sunset #425 are favorites and beautiful beyond words. That said, I do wish there were words for the sweet swell of emotions they evoke. Thank you for posting these celestial bookends to your days across the pond and across state lines.
Patricia L KeelinParticipantA dramatic scene you’ve captured there, Hongmeiyuan! It looks as if your feet at the time may have been right up there with those splendid clouds. A warm welcome to the forum and hope to see more images from you in days to come.
Below, the sky had a rather dusty look that day, but I don’t suppose we should call these “Linticularis”.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantOne might wonder…
How Tall IS a Cloud Goose?
Patricia L KeelinParticipantNice captures, Michael. I especially like the landscape feel of #312.
This one was a big surprise…

Patricia L KeelinParticipantVery interesting, Michael! I’ll keep my eyes on the skies and see if I spot any purple sunsets. And now I wonder, do you think there might also be a color difference in sunrises as well?
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you, Hans! And you’ve captured a smile to savor there. Love that little beauty mark of a comma in the corner too.
Now why do I get the feeling there may be a party going on behind these clouds?

Patricia L KeelinParticipantFrom painterly to otherworldly, extraordinary images, Michael!
Here’s a rather quiet one…
The Sound Of One Wing Flapping?
Patricia L KeelinParticipantHope you all have a fun vacation, Hans, and frisky Flo finds something not-too-precious to free along the way.
Another Day, Another Pillow!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantGlad to hear you put safety first, Michael. Undoubtedly the wiser approach is sometimes retreat! And you’ve captured a beautiful cloud collage above, a lovely study in blues.
Below, another shot from last week’s display of Cirrocumulus here.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantWow, Michael, an amazing shot! I smile to imagine you with camera held steadily aloft, the thought of an umbrella nowhere in mind. Nothing dramatic going on here, so really appreciate your sharing monsoon images with us.
Below, a soft cloud with a bit of highlight at twilight.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantSorry to hear about downloading woes, and thanks to you both for warnings. I’m an absolute snail when it comes to upgrading systems and programs as so often they come with disruptive surprises. Hope the problem resolves quickly for you, Hans, and you have an enjoyable vacation in the meantime.
And yes, indeed, it’s hard to miss the cloud dog in Kenyon’s painting, and can’t imagine it would go unnoticed by the artist himself. As for puppy mischief, funny how they can look perfectly innocent even when evidence is stuck to their fur.
