Love the Midnight Dance Of The Praying Mantis, Keelin. It certainly belongs in this thread although also a candidate for the Thingy thread. Love the subtlety of #183 and #184 as well, Michael.
Next one is – like the Mantis – not strictly B&W but I think it belongs here.

Oh I love a lot of the former B&W’s. Especially Bird’s Eye View Of A bird Below and Layered Dessert by Keelin and the soft grays and texture in Arizona B&W’s #179, #181, #182 by Michael. here is one that looks like a canyon in a cloudscape together with some lost smoke signals.

Very impressive and dramatic capture of Asperitas Dave. The infrared emphasizes the drama very well. Next one is a lot less dramatic, but the B&W approach is another way to enhance the drama a bit.
Great Asperitas lacunosus Dave. The infrared makes it even more dramatic. And I like your thoughts on asperitas Michael. Dave: you cn find more examples of asperitas lacunosus when you go the gallery and select on these classifications. You will find them all. Altocumulus and stratocumulus as well.
No HolesI love Against The Tide Keelin and also Arizona B&W #176 Michael. Lisa captured a classical 22 degrees halo in cirrostratus. That one works very well in black and white. Love it as well.

Keelin, thank you for this great and indeed Open-hearted start of Volume IX. Imediately followed by this cool Arizona Color #900 by Michael. It is like looking onto a gentle rippling pond.

I had not noticed yet the mysterious maiden at the waterfall Michael spotted, but it must be Keelin who did and I must admit the lady is there for sure. Head up and taking a big gulp of the falling water. Wonderful.
Seeing this I’d love to take a shower myself under the Shower Head that Keelin posted.
All kinds of wellness are suddenly here after a lot of creatures were presented. Next fellow is taking a sunbath at the end of the day.
