ParticipantF5 needed to get here with Reply option.
Fascinating, Laurence. Paul Simons, The Times (UK) adds
bit.ly/2TwBCXw for a video of snowrollers forming.

ParticipantThis cirrus intortus is the January picture in the CAS 2019 Calendar. The spotter’s caption says ‘……The sky appeared to me as a wonderfully chaotic landscape full of imaginary creatures. What do you see?’
So, what does the Forum see, I wonder?
A disguised, yet to be announced sports car, came to my mind, but that’s silly.

This guy has several similar pictures on his site.

ParticipantHans, I see your elephant in Michael’s B&W # 204 – remarkable.
Still that login problem, having just logged in – but again F5 did the trick.

ParticipantHallo, Wang Yinglun, and welcome from Hampshire, UK. Your clouds are intriguing (I got that spelling wrong) for their linearity.
By the magic of google Jilin looks a very interesting area and not short of a cloud or two. We did have a contributor from a city on the east coast of China a year or two back, but further south than Jilin.

ParticipantThis sunset image appeared in The Times, UK, 10JAN2019 (but it is near my part of the world, Hans). Several similar on the site; for dog lovers too (I googled esther wyatt dorset).

P.S. I guess she snapped the hard copy newspaper image.

ParticipantF5 works
I just logged in, went to the Forum to find the head and shoulders ‘log in’ symbol top right, pressed F5 and the screen went blank for a moment and my ‘H’ avatar (Hans’ word) appeared top right so I was able to write this.

ParticipantMidday, plane to the east, sun to the south, contrail to the WSW

ParticipantThanks, Hans. I have never known how to refresh a page (as distinct from refresh of Windows itself) but just read that F5 should do it and it did.

Participant6loud Story
New Year’s Day much chagrin – malware!
OK now, but snaps still not loaded down from camera.

ParticipantRamona, you are not the only one with login problems; just now I logged in and renewed my subscription successfully, went to the Forum to find it frozen a day or so back and saying ‘login’ (and not for the first time)! Both CAS and Don (many thanks) advise clearing your cache (in Windows press Control/Shift/Delete); whilst this has worked for me it is not the whole answer – and why does the cache now matter when for years it did not.
Love your complex picture and await the answer…

Participant6loud Story (q.v. in Search):
Christmas morn
Pink doth warn

N.B. Having login problems so can’t get to my old 6loud Story thread

In The Times, UK, the caption adds that this is Utah Lake shore at sunset near Salt Lake City.

ParticipantHans, my moonrise today was very akin to your last sunset #320890.
I missed this but The Times published one 27NOV2018. I loved the winning sunrise sky and there are other interesting skies too

ParticipantJust testing again – today I seem to be able to ‘reply’. Neither I nor GPP know why it did not work a couple of days back. Fingers crossed.
