The idea for this topic starts with AK’s ‘My back yard’ thread in the old forum (and I would enjoy the topic here); but since not everyone has a Sierra Nevada in their back yard I have widened it. Nesbit (according to Hampshire Life magazine April 2015, with a website I have not looked at, hampshire-life.co.uk) is a software developer with a serious passion for photography. In this slide show #8 ‘A poppy field in King’s Somborne’ appeared in the (freebie) mag; #17 is a good cloud shot too:

N.B. The sound of the Merlin engine flying overhead is legendary, but today’s pilot told the BBC it does not sound so beautiful when you are piloting it.
P.S. Sorry about the ad but it is only 20 seconds.
Castle Cove, Isle of Wight
The Times, UK, says 6MAY16 ‘The Milky Way at dawn…. with Mars, right, Saturn to the left and Antares below.
N.B. I would encourage others to add their back yard clouds to this thread; it is not just for hygge.
Nice name, but is it on a hill with a view of clouds?
The radio said Thomas Hardy loved clouds among other aspects of nature; I don’t think I have heard of clouds spouting before:
This appeared in The Times (UK) 20JUN16 but much more rosy and duskular (with thanks to Andrew Kirk):
I did wonder what a Phantom 4 might be:
Martin Dolan again with a photo of Old Harry rocks in The Times (UK) 22JUN16. Again the colouring in print is different – enhanced pinks, greener blue and yellow
Sophie with but a few clouds, unusual here this summer:
IoW Milky Way
This appears as the July picture in the CAS 2016 Calendar and I only just noticed its my local, so to speak. It just goes to show one should keep ones eyes peeled.

Hygge, I have edited your last post to make the link work. We’ll have to look into why the embed functionality of the forum is having problems with links to the gallery images. In the meantime, the solution is to add the link by using the ‘Link’ button and pasting the image description and the gallery link so that it works as above.
Thanks for letting us know about this.
This photographer had a sunrise photo of the same location in The Times (UK) today 29SEP16.
Another photographer often in The Guardian, davideberlin/GuardianWitness 160923
The image I was looking for in today’s Guardian was of Burnham-on-Sea, UK (Benjamin Dunford/GuardianWitness) but the colouring was similar
Daniel Wretham Photography had a lovely picture of mist rolling down the Purbeck Hills in Dorset, in today’s The Times (UK). I did not find it here but he knows his Dorset (where I used to stamp)
In The Times UK 2NOV2017. You have to scroll down but you will see the newspaper page (more than once)
Different guy – Emily Endean – had Stourhead pic in The Times, UK, 1NOV2017, but I loved this Brighton pic
Just wanted to add this CAS Saturday Cloud which is in my region
This sunset image appeared in The Times, UK, 10JAN2019 (but it is near my part of the world, Hans). Several similar on the site; for dog lovers too (I googled esther wyatt dorset).
P.S. I guess she snapped the hard copy newspaper image.
