Laurence GreenParticipant
Great shots, Batman! Thank you for the sharing – highly appreciated.
Certainly one would need a good sturdy umbrella to weather this downpour! “Geez!!!”.
Thanks again!
Best wishes.

Laurence GreenParticipantHere is another post, again taken from the NASA APOD website page, showing comet NEOWISE in full glory.
https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap200722.html
This comet is forecasted not to appear in our Earth-bound whereabouts for the next 6,800 years which by then we will, by today, be surely unplugged.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantContinuing the lovely theme, that is, Comet NEOWISE.
Here are 7 more photos of the comet that were posted by members of the BBC’s Weather Watchers today.
Here they are:- https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/53388925
What a sight!

Laurence GreenParticipantDear Keelin
I thank you so much for your comforting message – really much appreciated. It means a lot to me and lifted my spirits.
I am recovering quite well now and getting back into the land of the living and some sort of normality.
As time goes on I want so much to re-engage with the CAS and its lovely members. I have really missed CAS – its members – like you and others- and photo gallery.
Thanks kindly, Keelin.
Keep safe and well during these dreadful C-19 Virus times. I sincerely hope you are ok.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantDear Hans and Ruth, et all
Thanks so much for your heartening messages – they mean a lot to me. Thank you!
I still have to go to get back to something like normal but I am working hard.
I have sorely missed not being able to contribute to the CAS Forum but I am back again, slowly but surely.
Renewed thanks again. Highly appreciated.
Take care and please keep safe during these dreadfully awful and worrying times.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantGreetings to all in the new decade!
Here is my wee bit late contribution to this fascinating thread of New Year’s clouds.
Yes, a bit late but here are some nice photos taken by BBC Weather Watcher members of clouds in late December.
Here they are – 9 photos to enjoy:-

I am still, well, pretty low down but getting better. A bit of a long haul ahead of me but getting there. I don’t give up easily….
I hope all CAS members, especially your good self, had a lovely Christmas. I wish all a Happy New Year, good health, prosperity, happiness and contentment in all ways possible.

I am getting back to better health now, thanks be, and hope to contribute more to the CAS Forum etc.
May I take this opportunity to wish all CAS members a Happy Christmas and all the best for the next decade to come – 2020.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantThat’s good news, Heather. Congratulations!
There are four reviews about the book on the CAS’s Shop site – . all of them warmly complimentary.
The book is marvellous and I hope it meets good sales.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantSeems remarkably like a ghostly X-ray image!
Intriguing.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantI certainly go with the two previous comments.
Ling, thanks for your sharing of the photo – I like it much.
Welcome to the Cloud Appreciation Society! Warmly so.
Best wishes and hope to see more lovely photos from you.

I am pleased you found a liking to my posting. It is always nice to share things like this with folks like your good selves. This is one of the pleasures of being a CAS member and to share items like this.
Yes, the photo is truly marvellous in every sense. Just how the photographer managed to capture this both startling and show stealing image just blows my mind away – nicely so! Memorable, that is, saying the least.
Best wishes, as ever, to you and all CAS members.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantGood man, Hygge. Well done! I hope your efforts bring in the result you hope for.
Best wishes.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantMany, many thanks indeed, Michael, for sharing this remarkable image! Crikey, I think I would be looking for safe shelter in the wake of these really powerful clouds. Geez! What a fantastic vista!
I hope no harm came to anyone.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantHello Keelin and Hans
Many thanks for your appreciative comments. I am very pleased you liked my posting. It is always a pleasure to share items with good folk like you. Thank you!
Yes, I am so, so glad to be, as it were, to be “re-admitted” to the CAS Forum which due to a number of issues, that is, PC and logging in issues, have effectively prevented me from contributing to the CAS Forum.
IT is ok, when it works, but when it fails the gremlins and mogies cause a lot of problems – and take a lot of time consuming eradicating.
Best wishes and renewed thanks.
