ParticipantSpeaking of imagination…Oh my. It seems I mis-read your comment, Hans, and thought you wrote that the emerging being* in the distance has magical FEET. Then, when I saw the image in accompaniment, my eyebrows reached a new elevation of surprise.
* I would like to see the rest of this creature!
Elevation Of Surprise

ParticipantFantastic, Hans! The lines help to not lose the contrail count in such a crowdy sky. And 26 will be hard (maybe even impossible?) to beat.
Below, just one lonely trail quietly underscoring a faint Halo.

ParticipantEvery morning, I read comments to the CAS forum (delivered via email) before viewing the images online. And I must tell you, Hans, I couldn’t help but start smiling in anticipation when I read about the dogs barking. While I’ve come to expect clever replies from you (especially on this Looks-Like topic), sometimes I just have to laugh out loud when the image appears. That pack of pups is so perfect — and beyond funny!
And now…
The Chase is On

ParticipantThank you for casting the first spell, Hans, with a clever and regal looking Weathercock pointing the way. May the magic and mischief continue in all directions.
She Tried To Block The Wind To Ease Her Feathered Friend’s Flight

ParticipantIndeed, Hans, the images Michael brought us above have the textural quality one would certainly not wish to smooth out. And now I wonder where your streamlined Scouts will lead? Off in the distance, some vision is being sketched into being.
Rough Draft

ParticipantYes, Hans, it was indeed just that bit of iridescence at the top of the image that held me and added a little something to balance the branches below.
And I see what looks alike in your and Michael’s images above. Love the soft, welcoming feel of them. Here is one that looks like it would like to join them.
Some Similarities

ParticipantVery funny title to your follow-up, Hans! And the soft texture of your image makes it a pleasure to see. That said, I’ve had the same problem with ironing — only worse, I think.
Scorched

ParticipantThank you, Hans! Your Soundless Waves well capture the feeling of such visions. In the image below, my mind hears a riff about wild winds that stole the waves from the sea and formed them into these tumultuous clouds.
They Came From The Sea

ParticipantWhile my mind enjoyed tumbling on gentle cycle with Michael’s soft greys and a few suds with a twist, courtesy of Hans, I kept wondering what fate awaited Ragged In The Wash, and then…
Found This In The Dryer

ParticipantThere’s a beautiful visual harmony in your images above, Michael and Hans. Below, there was just the softest hint of color that led me to linger in the moment.

ParticipantAnd if the truffle lover ventures too far into the deep dark forest, what then? There are creatures there aplenty to cast a spell or two…
Mouse Witch with Wand

ParticipantPiglet would surely be a welcomed sight there, Hans. And we could use a visit from him here as well. This one below seems too busy to care about the weather.
Truffle Scuttle

ParticipantThanks for this link, Laurence. Beautiful endings of days captured there. My favorite is the photo by David Gilroy, a murmuration winging across a brilliant carmine sunset.

ParticipantIt doesn’t take much imagination while viewing your Waterfall, Hans, to hear the rush of river flow. The image nearly animates as well.
And here is a question: If a wave crashes on the shore and no one is there, does it make a sound? I stood beneath this wave of cloud and heard nothing, but witnessed resounding beauty.

ParticipantStrange and stranger, all will be welcome! Can’t wait to see what comes out in the wash.
