ParticipantLove the dancing threesome, Hans. And the deep view into clouds in #144, Michael.

ParticipantAnd now I see the Bugs you’ve conjured with your keen eyes, Hans! But earlier, I think it was the head shapes in your gossipers that set my pareidolia hopping in a different direction. Admittedly a bit obscure, but as you know, once seen (or heard?)…

ParticipantThanks for kind words and a great launch to VII, Michael and Hans!
For a few moments, Hans, I wondered if the winds were bringing us a new image our old friend who crosses the pond from time to time. But this is as far as it got — just a possi-billyg.

ParticipantIncredible action in your photo above, Michael. Below, a much calmer scene. And without the illuminated island, it would be hard to discern where Sky meets Sea. This image is from a watery ride off the coast of Alaska, taken a few years ago.

ParticipantHilarious, Hans! No doubt there’s a colorful cloud story to be told. I can’t wait to hear what you heard with your ear tuned to the sky.

ParticipantMichael, I keep going back to marvel at Arizona Color #646. Is your latest above from the same day or from a new flock of floccus?
Here is one from a summer past.

ParticipantFluctus is so fleeting in nature! You were lucky to catch such a fine, clear wave, Andrealibero. Thank you for sharing it with us here.
There wasn’t much left of it in the image below, and at such a far distance it seems now to have been almost a dream.

ParticipantMichael, #143 has some great dynamic movement. And whatever that hungry dragon could be eating, Hans, I suppose it is well equipped to enjoy it.

ParticipantNice catch, Hygee! And good luck to you, Michael. Can’t wait to see what comes your way.
And that’s a beautiful cloud formation, Hans, regardless of label. As for the image below, I’m also not sure about it considering there is Lenticularis nearby. Anyone have an idea? I’ve never seen Pileus at home here in Napa. This ice cream sandwich was spotted in Colorado.

ParticipantThanks for kind words, George, and for the link to a beautiful contrail! And Hans, I knew from the title (read first in email) that the photo you posted would give me a giggle.

ParticipantThanks, Hygee! Twilight and post-Twi have a calmness about them I enjoy too. A sliver of moon always tends to catch my eye as it brings to mind a sweet little girl named Ayça whom I met decades ago on a tiny beach in Turkey. She made a enduring memory for me explaining that she was named for the crescent moon.
