Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove your wonderful sea creatures, Richard! Indeed, there is a lot for our imaginations to play with up there, sometimes even in the spaces in between the clouds.
I’m not sure what to make of this one below. Focusing on the negative space, my first thought was: Oh no, not another vacuum attachment! (There’s a photo of what looks like a duster brush attachment posted almost exactly year ago.) But then it turned into a conical, dark hat worn by a blue-eyed goat. Could it be our friend Billy, Hans? Looking a little coy there.
…Or A Blue-Eyed Billy?
Patricia L KeelinParticipantOh what fun are all the above! Whatever order there may be, it likely won’t last long considering the whimsical way of clouds. Here are a couple to add to the messy mischief…

Patricia L KeelinParticipantThis B&W forum certainly provides a world of wonders for us. I’m enjoying everyone’s contributions here. And Hans, your Twisted is exceptional—Love it! It gives me shivers of delight and anticipation. What was in the midst of forming?! I don’t know if I should get up and dance or hide under the covers!
Chenille Blanket
Patricia L KeelinParticipantWhat a fine finale that was for Vol. X with the tumbling fun of Michael’s last two photos, Ruth’s delicious Morning Soup, and a Sea Of Clouds from Hans (<– I’d like to dive into that one with no need to hold my breath, even though it took my breath away).
Thanks for the launch to Vol XI, Michael. I can see we’re already off to another great start.
On the day of wind shenanigans featured below, Aeolus put everything on an angle—even my hair. /:)

Patricia L KeelinParticipantSinging lessons? Chowing down? Getting a dental check-up? Whatever this creature is up to, he appears ready for it.

The Element Of Surprise
Patricia L KeelinParticipantNoctilucent clouds and the Sea — that’s like icing on the cake, Hans! Hope you are treated to several servings.
I like the colorful story your latest cloud tells, Ruth. I wonder how it ends? Perhaps it is a saga that will go on and on to the delight of all audiences far and wide.
Front Row Seats
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove your Owl, Ruth! Looks like the wise, snowy kind which brings cool thoughts to mind. ’Tis hot here too (in Napa, CA), but not as toasty as further north. Be that as it may, would you care to join me for some Iced T? Below are two sips from a series still in process of collection. So far, I’ve only captured 11 of 26 letters for an English alphabet.

Iced Ts
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you for the refreshing effects of your recent additions, Hans, Ruth and Michael. Cover Up and …Waiting To See My Dentist make me want to stand beneath them and revel in a cool sweep of virga, while #137 feels like the splash I’ve longing for.
Ruth, your serene and lovely Foggy View, featured on the Gallery a few days ago, prompted me to review archives from a trip to Alaska years ago. There, I found this…
Early Morning Ribbon Of Fog
Patricia L KeelinParticipantMichael, the softness of #204 reminds me of the gentlest of rains. Just looking at it feels refreshing.
Like you, Ruth, I’m longing for cooler temps. Your Dreaming Of Shade well captures that very moment when the clouds are ready to provide.
Hans, I am expecting at any moment for something to emerge from your cracked open clouds in Fracture. You know I love the mystery of it!
And Richard, a warm hello and welcome to the B&W topic. You’ve flown in with flair, Banshees and all! Into the Abyss is downright magical.
The image below reminds me of how color is often the first to go as dreaming comes to an end. It’s tricky to maintain the balance ‘tween dreaming and waking, but if managed, there’s fun to be had dancing along that fine line and watching as both vividness and dimension return.

Fading Dream
Patricia L KeelinParticipantBeam makes a great ethereal slide, Hans. And I feel like that’s just what I did through Michael’s splashy#202. A fun ride followed by the quiet awe of Light and Water by Ruth. Mysterious!
Love the soft shapes in #203, Michael. And Ruth, your Fog makes the perfect backdrop for that delicate webwork.
I’m thinking back to a different season here as things grow tinder dry (again)…
Remembering Rain Clouds
Patricia L KeelinParticipantJohn and Hans, thank you for this info and the beautiful images of NLC! This is what I’d wish to become in the next morphing (from star dust to cloud dust?), still dancing and shining after the sun has already gone to bed.
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove your frolicking Mermaids, Hans. And your elegant sailing Swans as well, Ruth. Somewhere on a distant shore, another smooth sailor…
Nessie On A Foggy Morn
Patricia L KeelinParticipantRuth, Back To Land offers a beautiful, beckoning perspective. Love the contrast of a cloud-filled sky above the sea of green.
Just back from a visit with my sis in Santa Cruz (California), where we sat at the far end of the wharf to watch the clouds show off a bit in the early morn before they sailed off, leaving us with a bright blue day.
Above A Sea Of Cobalt Blue
Patricia L KeelinParticipantAh, so good to see you back in the Black (and White), Hans ~~ and with a great Foamy splash of nearly touchable texture.
Ruth, can’t help seeing a gentle Dalmatian in your lacunosus portrait. Sweet.
Michael, another great display of wind having its way.
