Hans StockerParticipantThank you Keelin and I agree with your words about granularity and it is a joy the way you phrase your thoughts so well. And then there are Shivers …….. and an quartet size in Arizona B&W#719 by Michael. Some pareidolia now?

Sunbathing
Hans StockerParticipantLovely tender sunset colors Andy. The garnularity works very well in this one.
And also very nice mystery mystical clouds Ruth. I recognize the same scenery from the one you wanted to be identified.

Composition In Cirrus
Hans StockerParticipantRuth, your last one is a nice mirrored sunset.
Usually we end a thread when number 100 is posted. You can see there are several threads that have a volume number, what we use to count them. So with your last mirrored one Volume V has to end and Volume VI has to come for Sunsets and Sunrises.
By the way: you can combine text and image in one post. Just type your text and when you are done position the cursor where you want to insert a picture and it will get there. In the beginning, the end or the middle. You can also start with a picture and add some text later.
I love to see there are many new contributors to this thread. All welcome. See you all in next volume!
Hans StockerParticipantWelcome Andy. You join just at the end of a discussion about using clarity in LR. Thank you Michael for all your information about the way you work. I did not know yet about the extra sensitivity for the infra red of the 6D sensor. I don’t know whether this is also the case with my 7D, but like you I am also sometimes surprised what detail comes up when enhancing clarity .
And you come up with great use of granularity in your B&W Andy. One can’t tell just because of the conscientiously use of granularity whether it is a digital one or analogous, but is it indeed an analogous picture? Love the composition and – forgive me – I see also this friendly witch with her bird on a flying carpet.
Swimming In Uncertainty so to speak with the latest B&W by Keelin who also lets Billy the goat revisit this stage. Although here are mainly abstract B&W’s, pareidolia is almost inevitable at stake in this thread.

Nameless
Hans StockerParticipantBoth nice compositions: Something Veiled and Arizona Color #815.

Well Things Come In Three
Hans StockerParticipantYes indeed amazing how these two pictures fit like puzzle pieces Keelin. Both pictures were taken during the same walk and it is nice you notice they are their complementaries.
You come up with another puzzle about praecipitatio. I suppose you are right. It will be very wet.
This one was also taken the same day as my former two.

Maybe Menacing Looking But Not Wet At all.
Hans StockerParticipantThat seems to be OK now Jocelyn. Success with using LR!
Hans StockerParticipantNice to see that the cloud identification help has got a special place on the Forum in a way that in this category also new topics can be created. That way they will all be easy to find I suppose.
I will give your sunset a try Ruth. I see mainly altocumulus with in the middle against the light backgroud virga falling down from it. Beneath and above is altocumulus lenticularis visible. On top Of the picture the low hanging dark clouds might be stratocumulus. Any other opinions?
Hans StockerParticipantA graet B&W Arizona Contrail # 51 Michael. And have you seen enough old movies now Don? Also good times – so to speak – for Netflix?

Was Mondriaan A Pilot?
Hans StockerParticipantHello Donnatella, I think you spotted a lenticularis above the stratocumulus. Pileus is a so-called accessory cloud that is only found attached to another cloud, for example a cumulus. On this picture they don’t seem to be attached, so in my opinion it is a lenticularis “on its own”. Any other opinions?
Hans StockerParticipantFirst two nice playful dogs by Ruth and then a Shaggy Dog. You can imagine I love your Shaggy Doggy very much Keelin. The breed you see on my avatar is a “hollandse schapendoes” or Dutch shepherd dog. While I take pictures of clouds above the sea she is trying to gather as much sand as possible to take home. She is quite a character and it is great fun you found her cloud equal. Ruth might have captured her too while playing with a fellow dog.
They must be careful when this playful dragon wants to join the play.

Beware Of The Puppy Dragon
Hans StockerParticipantYou are offering quite a trip from Twilight Zone to Enchantment Zone Keelin. Don’t know which zone Michael captured with Arizona Color #814 but together they are three of a perfect pair.

Something Hovering
Hans StockerParticipantHello Jocelyn, as far as I know LR classic has all facilities to develop pictures. You can switch between library functions and development any time (among others). I hope you have found it already. There is lot of tutorial material on the internet, but I once did a workshop (two times half a day time) to get started. It turned out to be an excellent investment since there are some things that are not that easy to find out yourself about organizing your pictures and development as well.
I am a windows user so I have no advise on compatible hardware.
Hans StockerParticipantWow, again some astonishing B&W’s from you both. The Feathery Feather Tree is magical and enchanting Keelin and Michael’s play with light in #171 is magical too.
Great to read about your use of LR Michael. What you explain about noise can be seen in my former Light As A Feather. I pushed the use of clarity to the limits in that one.
The contrast in Typewriter Dreams is also great. It gives clarity in a different way.
Also in next one I used clarity and what I tried is to emphasize the little curly details in a rather smoky cloudstructure.

Something Is Getting Revealed
Hans StockerParticipantCan’t wait to meet Billy again Keelin. When we both keep watching he soon will pop up somewhere I expect. The clouds on your Quick Passage seem to be in a hurry indeed. I love the dynamics in it.
The sky maybe looks more ominous than it really was Keelin when I was looking for Billy. It was a bit breezy but also sunny despite of some queuing stratocumulus. Here is another one taken the same day and it seems to be a bit …
