Hans StockerParticipantThank you Laurence for sharing. It is very surprising to read about the difference in colors of the two sunsets.

Billy?
Hans StockerParticipantPotentiality is indeed what the new tide brings Keelin. For me Potentiality seems to be the perfect nicely curved and crested wave to surf on endlessly in this thread. Love it. Let’s surf!
And Lisa, there is no limit to the number you can post here that is to say just one or two at the time (the system will warn you when you exceed the amount of Mb’s you want to upload), but …. day after day as the number of this Volume for B&W’s proofs. The only by our self’s imposed limit is that we end a thread when the number of 100 posts is reached and than start a new volume. So there are about 1500 B&W’s already in all former threads. When you have enough time it is worthwhile checking them :) Do we overdo it already? No, it is fun to be continued. So I look forward for more from you.

Hans StockerParticipantYou may be right Michael about the chaotic nature of asperitas events. Your last one shows the deceiving calm wavy structure. here is another example of a small area event.

Hans StockerParticipantThanks for this great start of Volume XVI Michael! Wow, it is hard to believe it would come that far when you started the first Volume, initially even without a Volume number! And your invitation works well. So welcome Lisa with your great entrance in this thread! I hope you enjoy the abstracts in B&W that will follow and hope also to see more from you.

Let’s Keep The Candle Burning
Hans StockerParticipantThanks Keelin and what about lucky sightings? You managed to capture a wonderful threesome. The starry eyed Stork really finishes it!
Here is something less mythical.

A Girly Cloud With Botox Lips
Hans StockerParticipantToday it is hot under a clear blue sky in Holland. And I must say ‘Like Sea froth’ shows exactly what I like now. Mouth watering cool, Keelin. Meanwhile I enjoy the other ones as well. With Cloud Stew the Joy is Unbound.

Approaching Rain
Hans StockerParticipantLast week I spotted some skies with a bit of the same as you both (Ruth and Michael) spotted in the last two posts. For me they all are examples of asperitas. Small areas but nevertheless the characteristic irregular undulations of asperitas are there.

Hans StockerParticipant
Two Days Ago
Hans StockerParticipantA hilarious conversation this is with unexpected twists! I spontaneously started to hum about Loveley Rita Meter Maid.

Tentacles And Ripples
Hans StockerParticipantThank you Ruth for kind words. And yes my kite could be a bat. It is funny that I considered it to name it that way, but finally chose Kite. Love you Sword Eater.

Hello mate, I started that way too!
Hans StockerParticipantI love #187 with its capricious winds (quoting Keelin) Michael and likewise Diced vs. Shredded, Keelin. The winds make wonderful patterns in it.

Sea At Night
Hans StockerParticipantI enjoy all the former posts without exception, but although maybe “Not so Dramatic” I toast with a glass of rose to that one Ruth.

Doomsday Sunset?
Hans StockerParticipantQuite a catch Sheryl from your roof. I hope to see more of that from you.
And Gregory as well with a brightly colored CHA. I check the sky every day for a CHA since it are just a bit more than two months over here that the sun is high enough to enable it to appear, but unfortunately I have not caught one yet.
You spotted some great iridescence Keelin. Thank you about the recent CAD with my 22 degrees halo. I was truly surprised to see it this way in a CAD because the moment I spotted that one I spotted only the altostratus. Although usually maybe a rather boring cloud it has its own beauty when the sunlight shines through. Only afterwards I saw the 22 degrees halo on it and it made me doubt the altostratus because a halo in altostratus is a bit of an exception. No doubts anymore now.
Btw: I hope you have seen the comet Neowise, Keelin? It is amazing to be able to see it with the naked eye. I had several occasions for it to see but I did not succeed to make a good picture.

A sundog that tries to hide. There is no need for that, isn’t it?
Hans StockerParticipantWhat does this remark about parking meters mean Michael? It seems to come out of the blue. Thinking about it I remembered a favorite cartoon: Guust Flater (very Flanders, Belgium) who has his practical jokes and conflicts about parking meters with the seriously dedicated officer Vondelaar. Here is an example of which I presume I don’t have to translate the words.

I know, this is rather off-topic, so back to Color! I see this mask in #827, Michael. And there is this intriguing Rhapsody In Blue by Ruth!. To quote Keelin I think we share the urge to explore what’s just over the ridge (great title and spotting as well). In my opinion it will be no surprise: more clouds!
