Hans StockerParticipantYes I have the same association with my untitled one Keelin. Love your virtual lake. For me it is an intriguing trompe l’oeil by nature.
Arizona Color #728 by Michael is impressive with this massive band of cloud separating the colors.
And then the cirrus filled sky by Gregory. Very nice.

Play Of The Winds
Hans StockerParticipantThank you Ian. This post is just meant to keep your message on top of the forum to ensure as much new year’s day pictures as possible. May the clouds be with you.
Hans StockerParticipantLove your former three Michael but specially number #177 for the whirly structure in the middle that even look like someone with open mouth in a silent scream. One can imagine a lot around that one I think.

Cloud Sculpture
Hans StockerParticipantWelcome Gregory. Nice sunset you captured. I saw your parhelic circle also on the thread for optical phenomena. A very nice ending of that Volume for we are used to open e new Volume after reaching the magic number of 100. May a lot follow from you and also best wishes in return.
Thanks Michael for the delicate reds to follow my oranges.
Here is one from the same day where a lot is going on.

Undulatus At French Sunset
Hans StockerParticipantA thumbprint indeed Keelin.

Hans StockerParticipantGreat fata-morgana George. Never saw something like that. The right conditions are rare. I assume you already checked atoptics for an explanation? Thanks for sharing.

Hans StockerParticipantI am glad you are back Laurence. I missed your contributions to the Forum. Anyway I hope you are doing well now.
Great APOD to share. This picture reminded me of one in the gallery and I found it. It is dated the 24th of January 20o6 from the same photographer. Magnificent picture anyway. Here is the link: Mammatus over Nebraska
It is funny to see the same situation pop up 13 years later.
Hans StockerParticipantSorry for the late reply. For too long no contrail. Yes Keelin, I see the cloud is making an impression at least on me. To me it seems a hummingbird (on the wire?).

Birds Of A Feather Flock Together
Hans StockerParticipantWelcome Ingrid. That is acted very quick! Enjoy the gallery and the forum. Happy cloud spotting!
Hans StockerParticipantVery nice this Pink Pileus at sunset Michael.

French Orange
Hans StockerParticipantVery funny Keelin, this Cloud Cloud Muncher. Meanwhile I found another over here breathing out to warm his or her hands.

Hans StockerParticipantLove the frothiness on your former one Keelin. I hope to see it arrive over here. And the fone facing the setting sun has marvelous light play. In between these beauties a massive cauliflower mountain over Arizona. Certainly an impressive one Michael.

Foamy
Hans StockerParticipantThanks for sharing the links Keelin. Great to see the book A Cloud A Day listed first.
I think it is a very nice gesture by Gavin to let some moderators of the Cloudspoter app – and also a Cloudspotter app user – talk about what fascinates them in clouds. Nature’s best poetry indeed. Many thanks and compliments to Gavin!
Hans StockerParticipantRays and tree branches seem to mirror each other Keelin. Very nice.
About mirroring… just a few hours ago this evening. Taken with my phone.

Hans StockerParticipantHa, I like the details of an asperitas sky Michael.
