N.B.: I found this word looking for a nice title and I liked it immediately, but it also seems to me a bit archaic (is it?). So just for the taste of the sound (yes that’s possible..).

French Sunset
The shadow of the contrail above seems to be broken and somewhat later it even shows better. The discontinuity in the track the shadow follows proofs the existence of different layers of cirrostratus on which the shadow is cast.
That same day this shadow appeared of a contrail. The shadow seems to refuse to go to the right and keeps stubbornly tracking forward.

it is like you say, these optical halos come and go with a whisper. Next one is a sundog that suddenly appeared in what seemed to be a bled part of he sky. The existence of faint almost invisible cirrostratus is betrayed by the sundog. Just for a moment ….. and then gone.
Nice arching Overhang Keelin. It seems to be sculpted.
It is a head aching choice you put forward. But A Huge Overhang makes me feel relieved for it will Gimme Shelter for the rain that is expected to fall.
Yes, Michael you are missed. Any idea about cause or progress in solving the glitch?

Some days ago I could capture some very strange asperitas forms. I went out the door to do some shopping and after looking up I went immediately back in to catch my camera. Asperitas passing by! Lots of different ripples. The formation blew over in about a quarter of an hour. I wish it had lasted longer, but it was long enough to capture some of it.
