ParticipantLove the composition and delight in flight you’ve captured in your Two Birds image, Hans.
As for my first posting here, it has to be one of the most surreal images in my entire collection. Chickenish, no doubt, though at the time, it felt more Owlish, and eerily, that it had turned its head to look in at me in equal wonder, no doubt!

ParticipantThis Fennec Fox made his debut performance on the B&W stage almost a year ago. Now he’s back for an encore, this time jazzing it up with the blues.

ParticipantOh, this will be particularly fun for fans of pareidolia! Thanks for launching this new topic, Ramona. I see Hans has already swum into the pool with his pretty iridescent Goldfish. Who knows what other creatures will turn up here?

ParticipantAs far as I know, there is only a short timeframe after submission in which you can edit a posted image/comment via your account profile. Be that as it may, the photo you’ve shared here certainly brings a smile, Ramona. And I would agree with Hans, it has a charming elephant-like character, a very young one at that! And isn’t well known they like the water? So maybe this one is running to play in the waves? Hans’s lovely image above looks like deeper waters, so here are some low ones, good for a little one to have splash in.

ParticipantNice, indeed, Hans! And who knows what wonders tomorrow may bring? Perhaps something…

ParticipantBeautiful catches above! Michael, I love the blues in your Arizona Color #87 and the way the white clouds are so gently held by those in Arizona Monsooner #87. And Hans, you have a way of coaxing iridescence from the sky like no one else! Is that how you do it, with a Dowsing Rod? Looks like it’s vibrating with joy.
Here’s one with contrast bumped to highlight the mix of colorful elements.

ParticipantLove the mystery in these recent images of yours, Hans. Could it be Something yet unclassified is being stirred up from the water world below?
Something

ParticipantBeautiful captures of days’ beginnings and endings, Hans and Michael! The colors can be so rich sometimes. And then there are occasions when an extra breath of quiet observation offers hints of a subtlety that may come alive with just a nudge of contrast in the processing. Late in the afternoon, the sky held such promise.

ParticipantThe excitement is understandable, Gainor. You were indeed lucky! These K-H formations are such a tease. By the time one parks the car, they’re already waving bye-bye as in the image below, caught just a couple of days ago. I look forward to seeing your painting — a great way to continue celebrating your sighting.

ParticipantThank you for sharing this series of visual wonderment, Hans. While I can offer no insight on classification, I must say these images are beautifully haunting. Michael’s “in transition” approach to this puzzlement has a lot of appeal and seems most reasonable. That said, I don’t know if you will find some similarity in the cloud forms shown on the Gallery in an image titled “A sunset over Owens Valley, California, US” by Stephen Ingram, posted March 9, 2018. I think only you will be able to judge. So come in from the f-f-freeezing ch-ch-chill, warm up well… and get back out there! Everyone know you can’t keep such a devoted cloud spotter indoors for long.

ParticipantLove the dramatic plunge of your waterfall, Hans. While Michael, your #89 feels like a breath released below the surface. So much action – and great show of Madness!
Not sure what to call the image below. I just keep…

ParticipantA splendid interpretation, George (the F Cleff). Of course! Writ on the wind.
And how lucky, Ramona, to witness the waves of K-H/Fluctus and to be ready with camera at hand.
And Hans, your sky in They Seem To Think About It is definitely pensive, like a cross-current pond of rippling wonderment. Lovely!
Below, it is too late to think about it.

ParticipantThank you for kind comments, Hans and Ramona. And Michael, what a zinger you’ve captured in Arizona Monsooner #51! Those dwarfed details below the cloudscape put its vastness into jaw dropping perspective.
And as Bad Tempered as your cloud creature above may appear, Hans, I suspect a visit from the little winged wonder below will put things right in no time. I will send him across the pond.

ParticipantFabulous photos, George, Michael and Hans. Traveling the skies can be such an adventure…
