ParticipantKeelin, your Lac Du Nuage is a wonderful trompe l’oeil but the lat two from you are real for sure and they both express beautiful quiescence and peace. love it.
This thread seems to be meant for reflections and specifically for those from the waters. No reflection from a lake, sea or a different large surface in this case, but just from a small ditch.

ParticipantHa, another example of the Coolest Clouds by Greg in your Arizona B&W182 Michael. And before that one the dreamy Shadow Of A Cloud Dreamer by Keelin and a wonderful mixture by Greg.

ParticipantHa, I really enjoyed the Myrmecophaga Tridactyla with grasshopper. Now this great Rhino saved me from captivity, Keelin. Very convincing and a beautiful lacunosus as well.

ParticipantWelcome Donatella. It is like Keelin wrote. They begin as straight lines but develop in wild ways and even in hallucinating dreams like the last one by Keelin.

ParticipantHello Laurence, no need to be desperate. The January blues don’t have patience, but when you don’t expect it there will be new marvels. After too much of the same grays in the last days of 2019 there were suddenly great sunrises and also this sunset before the grays came back. Hope this helps :)

ParticipantHi Greg, great pictures! I noticed this one on the Color thread also and they are indeed really cool. A striking example of cirrus intortus (I think). Why not send one to the gallery?

ParticipantWhat a spectacular sunset over Hudson Bay George, with a blood red sundog and iridescence as well. You can see the sundog come and go on the video. Thanks for sharing.
And Keelin, I think you did not only spotted a sun pillar but also a upper tangent arc being the unusual color and brightness above the pillar. On the second picture it is only a bright spot that rests on the place where it was. Very nice.
Truly a fabulous start of the year for you both after the first gentle sunset of the year by Greg.

ParticipantA happy new year to all.
Over here the start of this new cloud year is not quite spectacular with featureless fog. Maybe it is good for contemplative moods, but we all know that fortunately different and more exciting clouds will follow.

ParticipantHaha Keelin, I can’t help to see an anteater with a straw hat and on his snout this iridescent winged grasshopper. No I am alright, it is not the alcohol but just an attack of pareidolic madness. It sometimes happens and it is not serious (I hope).
Here is a line of spectators watching me taken away to the emergency room. I will try to convince the nice young men that accompany me to check this thread and then we will see what happens.
Love your fourth Magi by the way.

ParticipantYes I have the same association with my untitled one Keelin. Love your virtual lake. For me it is an intriguing trompe l’oeil by nature.
Arizona Color #728 by Michael is impressive with this massive band of cloud separating the colors.
And then the cirrus filled sky by Gregory. Very nice.

ParticipantThank you Ian. This post is just meant to keep your message on top of the forum to ensure as much new year’s day pictures as possible. May the clouds be with you.

ParticipantLove your former three Michael but specially number #177 for the whirly structure in the middle that even look like someone with open mouth in a silent scream. One can imagine a lot around that one I think.

ParticipantWelcome Gregory. Nice sunset you captured. I saw your parhelic circle also on the thread for optical phenomena. A very nice ending of that Volume for we are used to open e new Volume after reaching the magic number of 100. May a lot follow from you and also best wishes in return.
Thanks Michael for the delicate reds to follow my oranges.
Here is one from the same day where a lot is going on.
