George PreoteasaParticipant
Silk ladder to climb into the clouds.
George PreoteasaParticipantAh, ok, so I’ll rephrase: when taken in isolation a piece of the sky can give a very different impression than the overall. Not to mention photo editing :-)
George PreoteasaParticipantThe magic of zooming (or cropping).
George PreoteasaParticipantVery different that cloud, Michael. Looks like little uneven mamma’s are embedded. Hans, you sky is dreamy, peaceful.
George PreoteasaParticipantVery nice, Michael. I like the soft colors. Here in NY we had some intense colors yesterday. At some point, one would think lava was pouring from the sky. (I did not adjust colors, they are quite close to what the eye could see.)
George PreoteasaParticipantGreen flash
George PreoteasaParticipantNot to contradict Hans … I too did not think I would see a horseshoe vortex and then I saw two on two consecutive days after about a year of cloud spotting. But they were remote and rather simple.
What you got there, EP, is a beauty. Not saying it’s unlikley to see another like it but …
George PreoteasaParticipantThank you, Hans. Yes, I was on a cruise (my first) in the Caribbeans. Lot of opportunities for shooting clouds.
George PreoteasaParticipantWavy clouds and castelanus over Aruba before sunrise.
George PreoteasaParticipantMichael, this looks like a shelf cloud. But then I seem to see some asperitas features. Very interesting combination.

George PreoteasaParticipantA bit of lining and crepuscular rays
George PreoteasaParticipantLovely combination and shades, Keelin and amazing reds, Michael. Here is a tropical sunset to warm you up.
George PreoteasaParticipantPink lining
George PreoteasaParticipantThis is very cool, Roger!
