Howard BrownParticipant
With dreams of Rothko shortly to come, Hans.
Howard BrownParticipantSeemingly, Hans. Or perhaps someone (or some thing) just grazed their knuckles.
Howard BrownParticipantHoward BrownParticipantGrand National – #33 Vintage Clouds fell at the first fence today
Howard BrownParticipantThree pictures appeared in The Times, UK, 1APR2019 where the caption said it was the Society of Photographers monochrome competition won by the Golden Gate Bridge picture (which has a fine fog bank (?)).
The Times also publishes a picture of Fanad Lighthouse, Co. Donegal with a fine cloudscape which is not in the above, I think (by Todor Tilev perhaps).

Two words from that tribute, street and rainbow, led me to these

Howard BrownParticipantI don’t have time (or perhaps skill) to think, Roma, but enjoy your Cu – it sort of makes a change from the prima donna higher levels.
Cloudscapes over mistletoe tree with love and kisses to all.

The second picture is the same view by Blane as pictured in The Times, UK, yesterday but The Times version has a hazy moon through a pink sky and caption:
‘Moonshine A supermoon – a full moon at its closest point to Earth, seen here over Minning Low, a Neolithic cairn in Derbyshire – coincided with the spring equinox’
Oh, I found it:

Howard BrownParticipantAeolus, Keeper of the Winds, was new to me, Keelin, (too narrowly educated) so thank you – yes, I see him there as you describe in a later post.
He has a strange set of symbols: Jar/Open Bag, Harp
March 23, 2019 at 11:17 pm in reply to: Equinox Moon, four towers and a possible Green Flash #335693Howard BrownParticipantAn interesting link, Laurence.
But if I may (again) be pedantic your title is misleading. I read the link as implying the green flash as being solely a solar phenomenon to which the lunar one is ‘related’. The link says
‘The remarkable optical mirage is related to the more commonly witnessed green flash of the setting Sun.’
Howard BrownParticipantKeelin, someone understands these higher dimensions:
Abel Prize
The winner received the prize for ‘ “fundamental work in geometric analysis and gauge theory,’. The article says ‘… of minimal surfaces, such as those formed by soap bubbles and more general minimisation problems in higher dimensions.’
So next time you feel raindrops falling on your head….
