Not that far from me, but I am still having to water a few new plants in the garden.

ParticipantEDIT: Jazz fans should not miss this – ‘Jazz 625 Live: For One Night Only is a special 90-minute live show paying tribute to the iconic 1960s BBC Two jazz show of the same name

(Apologies, more a case of clouds in the corner of my mind).

ParticipantSo glad things are looking up in Colorado, Keelin – fingers crossed. I have pleasant memories such as
(I am not a hiker, just drove up and parked in wonder for half an hour. This was BC (Before CAS) and BD (Before my Digital camera, so no pics of mine).
Oh, and the chipmunks.
Howard Brown
ParticipantAren’t they cute, Keelin, and in the corner to boot.

ParticipantLove the pun, Hans. I am sure there was a TV cartoon show with planes just like those. It’s a great cloud pic, giving the impression you were up there with them, as I am sure you often are.

ParticipantA fascinating start to Vol III leaves me in awe of all your observations.
In gratitude, hygge

ParticipantThat’s very philosophical, Michael, and deep thinking. Not just waiting for Lady Luck to hit you in the face. Thank you.

ParticipantYep, the creature is a young long eared cocker spaniel, Keelin?

ParticipantHans, that makes me think of emigrating to France – Brentry I suppose you could call it. (Funnily enough part of Hillier Gardens where I Volunteer is called Brentry).
This World Service program ‘Why do we find things beautiful?’

mentions sunsets. I think the abstract is very good and well worth reading, but you don’t garner that much more by listening to the whole program.

ParticipantVery enjoyable pictures, Laurence – the first one really hits you. Is it chance they were all on Wed morning or simply not surprising, I wonder.
Glad you popped up – I was fearing you were sucked into that black hole…

Participant2019 Zeiss Photography Awards (but Sony creeps in too)
The brown horse picture 1/10 has a cloudscape increasing in intensity left to right and looks interesting full screen. The grey horse 10/10 has just a hint of pink in the blanket sky?
Howard Brown
ParticipantThe second picture, the Scottish Highlands, is a classic, I think, a fortiori because of the added pink cloud streets and grey cap cloud. The photographer Lesley Martin (q.v.) seems to run the IPA photo awards. Oh, and who doesn’t love Camargue horses with sunset clouds too.
