ParticipantHa! I can see the funnel shape quite clearly! However it does not happen to be a tornado, instead, it seems to be a manmade airplane contrail cloud.

ParticipantMy goodness Ruth, your lenticularis give me nostalgia for when I was living in the PNW. And Keelin, I may have at first mistaken those vortices for K-H clouds but now see that itis just the tendrils of the jellyfish getting wrapped around in swirling patterns.

ParticipantHello everyone!! I’ve got many clouds to share with you over the next few days! These two are probably my favorites though. If you look closely, you can see K-H wave clouds. Lovely pictures everyone!

ParticipantRuth, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I do not think those happen to be fluctus only because of the fact that the wave-like structures are not all going the same way. I believe they are just altocumulus cloudlets.

ParticipantJust a lil something I snapped up after the rain today. Lovely pictures everyone!

ParticipantIn fact, yes I am! I hope my answer clarified things a little bit. I’d recommend looking up undulatus just to get a feel for what it is.

ParticipantHello everyone, sorry I haven’t been posting as of late. I’ve been sick and making up schoolwork, but I should start posting again soon! Lovely images by the way everyone!

ParticipantHello again!
Let’s see here, I don’t believe so. That is actually a classic example of altocumulus undulatus. I love this type of cloud, because they appear as little waves. Wonderful shot!

ParticipantHello Julia!
I believe it may be an example of undulatus or possibly cloud streets caused by oscillations in the atmosphere. Lovely catch by the way!

ParticipantWowee Keelin, that is something else. Love the iridescent colors, they look so pure! Nothing special, just a 22 degree halo.

ParticipantThank you Keelin! This was wonderfully entertaining, and I’d recommend it to all of our members. In fact, on the Facebook Livestream today, I think I’ll post the link to listen to it
