Hans, you had me laughing with your clever response and hilarious interpretation. And I think you nailed it—which makes me wonder: Could that fellow’s glasses be atop his very own noggin? I’ve been there, done that on occasion. Or were they borrowed by the clownish ghost with the big nose and the smile Ruth spotted hovering above? And might that even be the same ghost you caught dressed up in iridescent disguise? A beauty of an outfit!

Speaking of seeing things, Ruth, you have a keen eye to have caught that sweet Splash of Color. It’s always a thrill, isn’t it, no matter the size.

From home on the range to home in the fens, beautiful photos, Ruth and Philip.

Here’s another glimpse of some of that wild Colorado weather.

Nice work, you two. Michal, that’s some action in #261. The B&W format captures the drama perfectly.

Love your crow vortex chain, Ruth. What a fun capture with that whimsical smile at the top. As for that long haired gal you referred to a few posts back, I think she’s still in the chair going for The Layered Look.

Gorgeous Fan, Ruth (and in your signature colors too!) — as was your recent sunrise on the gallery.

And Hans, is that what Alien stream of consciousness writing looks like? Love it!

Lovey interruption there, Ruth. I don’t imagine the clouds minded at all.

And oh, those waves, Hans! I’d enjoy diving right in. And then, at the last moment…

Peacock or Seahorse is like the classic Rubin’s face/vase optical illusion, Ruth. Fun to switch/swap what is seen.

Then again, sometimes what emerges first is impossible not to see each and every time—especially when it’s an old, familiar friend.

Indeed, this topic is wonder-fully fun. I love that aha! moment when an image clicks into alignment with the title offered. Lady Feeding The Birds and Teenager Blowing Smoke are both so clever, Hans and Ruth.

Here is one that followed the photo I posted to the Optical Phenomenon topic. Same sky—and could be the same story.

Thanks, Ruth and Hans. That CHA was such a surprise on the cloud-filled drive. Good thing I wasn’t at the wheel.

Not So Bold is like a whisper, Ruth—in a heart shape!

And what a delight to see noctilucent clouds, Hans. I hope they will be frequent visitors for you throughout the summer.

Here’s another from the recent Colorado drive, this time through the car window after a bit of rain. Could be a story in this one, but I leave it to you to write the script. ;)

All so inspiring! This one seems related to Michael’s most recent two.

Ruth, I love the soft, subtle colors you capture in many your photos. Your recent Asperity’s over Wolf Creek featured on the Gallery has such a quiet beauty.

Bill, thanks for sharing your dramatic skies there. Thunderstorm season sounds exciting!

On a recent flight to Colorado, I was lucky to have window seat…

#255 works really well in B&W, Micheal. Glad you posted it here too.

A Lock of Hair has great texture, Ruth, and fine distinction in all those tricky shades of grey.

All the big ones show up here, don’t they? Elephants and Whales amid the endless parade of playful pups. And Hans, it looks like your Casper is definitely friendly—and kind enough to share some of his iridescence with guess who.

Why, if it isn’t our old, sky-romping friend…

What a double beauty, Ruth, a sky full of delicious sorbet!

Thanks, Hans, and for confirmation on the earlier halo post. You captured the full eye in your latest. Don’t you just love it when there’s a thin veil of clouds included?

On the road ‘tween Colorado and New Mexico last week, the sky appeared to be celebrating Pride month!

Love the serenity in #253, Michael, and the illusion of mountain peaks peeking through in #254.

Scratched must be what happens when the sky gets an itch, Hans. I like the tiny bird tickles.

And that’s a wholey Holey Duck you spotted, Ruth.

Below, cloud reflections floating in a pond at Denver Botanical Gardens…
