Patricia L KeelinParticipantAnd wonderful texture, Hans! More blue and white below…
Cascade of Blues
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove the light and shadow in you images above, Hans. “And Pop!”, has almost the feeling of opposing tides.
And Michael, your most recent image is so deliciously surreal, I keep going back for another taste of it.
Found this one in the archives, and immediately the memory of Michael’s cleverly titled Burned Eggs (Colour Thread Volume II) made me smile again. The image below is not so colorful (but also not so burnt!). Bon appétit, mes amis!
Just One Spec Of Pepper Please
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove those subtle halo colors and the bright filaments of cloud in your image above, Hans. You cannot see me, but I’m right behind that friendly figural, applauding as well.
Somewhere
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLonging for Lennies here, with no sightings for months! But how good to know they are at least visiting you two, Michael and Hans. Your captures are lovely and, well, captivating (hope they’re friendly!). I can hardly complain, though with what does appear. Like your Heralding Change Of Weather, Hans, the clouds holds sway overhead with A Thin Layer of Winter Asperitas.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantHello, Norm. While I’m not in the know enough to answer to your questions about cloud classification, I just want to say that I admire your photos (the 4th being my favorite with those lenticular-looking islands below). Also, a funny thing happened when I mis-read the first three words of your PS above, “Could the cloud”. What made me smile is noticing an anagram for “cloud” is “could”, a word used in the English language to indicate possibility. What made my smile linger is thinking how clouds possess endless possibility for shape-shifting and for delighting those of us who look up to them. So thank you for sharing your images here and sparking this moment of mirth. I, too, wish you the best of success with your upcoming exhibit and hope we see more from you.
Patricia L KeelinParticipantYour guess is correct, Hans, I believe the hint of color was part of a very faint halo. Worth a pause even though barely there.
Your Composition In Only Blues And Whites is a two-toned beauty! Love the impression of frothy sea foam contrasting with the vertical play of those soft upwards strokes. This is one I will revisit often, along with Michael’s Morning Asperitas.
Keeping with the theme of Blue and White, here is one from a series in the archives.
A Dance In Blue And White
Patricia L KeelinParticipantIt must be the quakey Californian in me, Hans, that makes such movement associations. I like your interpretation much better and thank you for this new vision. Your Glowing in Different Colors is a beauty! Those soft colors and shapes are something to relax in.
Below is one with contrast pushed to show the little hint of color in the breath of the clouds.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantWhat a beautiful beginning to Volume II, Hans! And an upcoming front sounds definitely auspicious. I imagine you are already ready for it.
And indeed, the perfect parhelic Michael left us with on Volume I is worth a revisit with its lovely swirl of clouds above and below. Clearly a winner.
More thrills to come for certain now that we’re Launched!

Patricia L KeelinParticipantExtraordinary captures, Hans! Lucky for us you are quick enough to catch these fleeting doggies. In the image below, some little cloud spirit appears to be dancing above the halo.
Halo Dancer
Patricia L KeelinParticipant‘Another Cavity’ is deep with mystery, Hans. Perhaps this Faerie With A Torchlight can encourage us to explore?

Patricia L KeelinParticipant…then sailed onward…
Across A River of Cloud
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove the undulations of Asperitas at either end of the day. Not so gentle looking is the image below. While the earth stood still, the sky appeared to shimmy to the music of the spheres.
Skyquake
Patricia L KeelinParticipantDank je, Hans, for kind words and the beauty of waves returning. Above and below the surface, they move through all the seasons.
Beneath An Icy River
Patricia L KeelinParticipantA fine balance and brilliant study in contrast, Michael! Those silver tones you continue to create are most amazing.
And what mischief are you up to, Hans, with your Glowing Contrail? You have offered us a masterpiece worthy of Dali! I hope we will see more of these friendly figurals, especially that one in the upper right corner who appears to be casting some spell with her magic wand. I do wonder what she’s up to… I see she’s got the crocodile strolling upright, exiting stage left. Off to cross the pond perhaps?
Presto!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantWow, Hans, what a BEAUTY! It reminds me of the rare piercing insight that comes when you least expect it. Your image above changed my breathing.
My own thoughts are sometimes somewhat twisty. Nevertheless, thank you for kind compliments!
