Hans StockerParticipantThey really look like Ci spissatus Marcel. They might have originated from further away, but spissatus can aslo form on its own. So who can tell whether this is cumulonimbogenitus or not? Very nice anyway!

Hans StockerParticipantThat is a great idea and initiative Roeland.
Lamarck lacked recognition in the end. I found next links about him and his role in the development of the theory of evolution as a biologist. He died unfortunately in poverty.
Understanding Evolution (Berkeley)
Jean-Baptiste Lamarck (1744-1829)
Lots of success with your play.
Hans StockerParticipantI agree with George about your corona in Big Ripples Ruth. Also great Big Craters In The Sky with delicate iridescence.
Thanks Keelin about the gallery one. Maybe you noticed I used a part of it on the B&W thread some weeks ago. The details surprised me on that one. The corona in Iridescent Chameleon is fantastic Keelin. I love its texture and the clear colors. Also great Solo Solar View with halo.
Thanks for sharing your videos George. They revealed really bright moondogs and a great corona as well.
They all drew the attention of this

Iridescent Fox
Hans StockerParticipantThank you Ruth. I understand why you Just Have To Get Out More. That’s a great sky just as is Open Country. There is so much space around and air to breath.

Just A Glimpse Of What’s Beyond
Hans StockerParticipantA lot of beauties above. I love Tuesday Afternoon, Keelin. And #132 by Michael.

Dashy
Hans StockerParticipantWelcome Peter, nice shot. It seems that Ruth wants to be home before curfew and you just sat in the middle of it. Great sky to play noughts and crosses.

Iridescent Contrail At Sunset
Hans StockerParticipantGreat sunsets and Evening Excitement (Ruth) above. There seems to be some mamma in the stormcloud above Mumbai Salil. Great composition.

Reds And Oranges
Hans StockerParticipantGreat B&W’s Richard. I must say the ir technique does make the appearance of the cirrus more thick than it might have been, but it is cirrus in both cases. The fist one may be cirrus floccus. The second one shows two large patches of cirrus. These might be cirrus spissatus but here the ir may be too deceiving to interpret.
Any other opinions?
Hans StockerParticipantMonochrome Cloudscape is a favorite of mine Keelin. Wonderful composition. And I love your last one Into The Grinder as well.
Ruth, your mustache-like Mystery made me raise my eyebrows. Mysterious, black and maybe a eyebrow-cloud?
Your #1906 and #1912 are simply great Michael. You never stop to amaze me.

Here Comes The Sun
Hans StockerParticipantHave you heard about the …. parrot in the sky?

Much fun above! The white puffy cloud by Michael makes me think of a little chick and I think Richard spotted a dragonfly. And I love the snail in Slow Dancer by Keelin. A great find and cloudscape as well.
Hans StockerParticipantSmooth waves in #510, Michael.
Cloud Fire is amazing. Great cloudscape drama, Richard!
Love your Ameba Ruth, a nice composition..
Lovely Clouds, Little Rain looks like it had more rain in it than it delivered Keelin. Still a very nice cloudscape.

Some Rain, Some Shine
Hans StockerParticipantI love the last Park Shot (#904) Michael.
And I love the witch you captured, Keelin! She must have been summoned by your ‘Let’s Dance!’ and she has the moves for sure.
Next one really surprised me. I think I never captured a cloud this sharp and detailed before.

A Fine Grid
Hans StockerParticipantWhen you are able to spot mr. Bojangles you will certainly spot a sundog very soon. When there is cirrus in the sky and the sun is low (preferably) watch 22 degrees left or right from the sun. I am certain you will come up with one soon. Here is a teaser.

A Sunbull?
Hans StockerParticipantBurning Up The Sky is fantastic Ruth! It shows some amazing and intriguing entangled clouds.
Arizona Sunset #802 by Michael is amazing as well. That must have been an amazing experience to watch that mighty cumulonimbus in the setting sun.

Golden Cumulus

Hans StockerParticipantThanks for sharing these pictures Laurence. Number three is indeed an impressing one and I like it, but I would vote for number one when the voting was available for me. Somehow it wasn’t.
