For more information about colors in clouds and specifically iridescence I recommend the atoptics site. It is all bout optical phenomena under which iridescence. Here is the link for iridescence: iridescence. You will find many examples. Have fun with it. I look forward to more of your pictures.
I suppose it was the blue moon that was crossed George? Nice sequence.
Sometimes contrail can be blue instead of white. I haven’t found an explanation yet. Anyone knows more about it?

Michael, are these anticrepescualr rays? Very delicate and beautiful with this lonesome tiny crescent of the moon.
And how overwhelming and contrasting are the fuzzy light beams with the fine outlines of cranes George.
