Hans StockerParticipantAfter an unsolved mystery so far (who will come up with an answer?), new Contrail Madness with a bit of seasoning.

Hans StockerParticipantI’d give it a yea Gainor. Who’s next?
Hans StockerParticipantVery wild Keelin, so beware of a waterfall!

Lenticular Sunset
Hans StockerParticipantYour Arizona Color #87 looks mirrored on a water-surface Michael. Nice catch.
The Bluebird of Happiness arrived well on this side of the pond Keelin. So thank you. It certainly helps against bed temper because it was yesterday ….

Endless Rivers
Hans StockerParticipantThe tiara is a jewel Keelin! I suppose this mighty King of clouds on Michael’s Arizona Monsooner is showing up to collect it for his queen. Great view!

Bad Tempered
Hans StockerParticipantYou are quite right about the feather boa Eric. It is a beauty Keelin! I forgot to mention that in my former reply.
Hans StockerParticipantYou certainly look around Ramona and you might be right, but whether fluctus is about to form or even already left its wavy state behind is not verifiable imho. Maybe one must be able to observe the development for a longer time to be able to decide on it. The right conditions for fluctus are not really visible, that is to say the existence of two sheering layers of air of different humidity (among other conditions) is not visible as such. Only the effect of it in the form of clouds and fluctus is. Googling around I found this instructive video about KH you might be interested in. You can see fluctus also occurs in the clouds of Jupiter. Have fun with it.
Hans StockerParticipantIt is nice to read, Keelin, that Gavin is on tour in your neighborhood (well almost in your neighborhood?). Great to have the opportunity to meet the member with number one! He did a great job to establish the CAS. An enormous achievement considering the vast amount of amazing pictures in the gallery gathered from all over the world. A great source of inspiration for certain.
I am curious whether he would visit the low lands once, but I am afraid I have to visit England for an occasion. I certainly hope to read something about his visit later from you!
Hans StockerParticipantThank you very much Keelin. I just had some luck with an extraordinary sunset with contrails. Fizzzzzle is more than fun to share. A perfect abstract in rectangular balance.
At the same occasion I spotted next one (and others to follow later). The difference in color between the two trails is striking. I am still looking for a good explanation why one turns red – like it is supposed to do at sunset – and the other is blue. Who can unravel this mystery?

Hans StockerParticipantGreat bull fight Keelin and Michael. The Cape and the Bull’s Eye as well. Once seen it can’t be unseen. Love it.
In the arena are these …

Interested Spectators
Hans StockerParticipantNo doubt about it Ramona, you captured KH. Nice pictures and certainly no baby’s but mature fluctus. Difficult to capture them in time since they don’t live long. I suppose you must have seen them dissipate into cloudy chaos. And there is indeed also some KH in former pictures. KH does very well in this topic named ‘Waves’. Michael created the topic for pictures that can be associated with all kind of waves, B&W or in color, surreal or real, whatever comes to mind.
Now Keelin surpises with a great question mark and the intriguing question whether waves can pose questions.

They seem to think about it….
Hans StockerParticipant
Can waves exaggerate?
