Lost ‘Cloud’ of artist who wrapped the Reichstag to be created in UK gallery

Mary Williamson, Member 54,343 recently saw this article on the Guardian website.  Six years after his death, Christo’s rediscovered Air Package on a Ceiling—a vast, glowing form suspended just above head height—is set to be installed at Gagosian London, half a century after the artist first conceived it. Found hidden in a studio plinth and untouched by sunlight for decades, the scale model revealed a vision of air itself wrapped and illuminated, a cloud distilled to its purest architectural whisper. As the gallery prepares to realise this once-lost work – a man-made cumulus, serene and softly radiant, is about to hover indoors – visitors will be invited to wander beneath its gentle canopy and marvel at the poetry of atmosphere made tangible.
