A marvellous photo which certainly takes my admiration in really strong measure. It is superlative – and I mean just that.
In colour the photo would be very good indeed but I like the way you have elected to use monochrome. It adds testament to the austere bleak starkness and overall sense of desolation and emptiness of the whole scene. The heavy growling storm clouds above, accompanied by the oh so fortunate bolt / dagger lightning only adds to the sense of serious loneliness and abandonment.
I take BIG, BIG fancy to this photo. It innately appeals to me. If I were the author of the photo I would be immensely pleased with it.
