An abundance of distinct fallstreak holes (cavum), also known as 'hole punch clouds', are formed when supercooled water droplets freeze into ice crystals and fall out, often triggered by a passing airplane. These classic examples were spotted over Prescott Valley, Arizona, US.

No filtration at the time of taking the image – but subsequent (modest) tonal adjustments are made in PhotoShop to emphasise the impact of the sky.
A good monochrome photo, especially when used for landscapes, portraiture etc, takes some beating. This is one such example. Did you use an orange or red filter when taking this view to accenturate the drama in the clouds ? Great shot, Stephen.
