Thanks Hygge! You sound like a Dane :)
Søren HaugeModeratorThanks a lot Maribel! I would love to show you where I am standing while it was taken. It is a massive statement underlining the fact that true, really nerdy Cloudspotters are able to ignore amazing things in favor of clouds. In my profile I have just uploaded it. Not reproduced in good quality, but you can get a feeling of the place… at the least :)
Søren HaugeModeratorHow lovely to read these comments! It is such a pleasure to moderate the cloudspotter app pictures, and with the new feature we can now give comments to a yes or a no. I have to admit that most pictures don’t get a comment as there are quite a few coming in from all over the world all the time and we don’t want the queue to grow too much. There are pictures waiting for quite a number of days as the response is not obvious. Some pictures are tricky, unclear or questionable (some even fakes taken from a computer screen) – so perhaps we have to share thoughts about it. But no matter what – I have never during the last two years or so been bored about moderating or found it to be a burden. It is pure joy. We have good communication and sharings in a closed Facebook group. Gavin is a wonderful help and support, assisted by Kai – and our Cloud Moderator colleague, Laurenz Laeremans, has done a great job with the latest improvements of the app. So thank you for the great responses – and please remember that occasionally we do make mistakes! :)
Søren HaugeModeratorThese are absolutely great, Colin!
There are many Colins, but I wonder if you use your own name on the Cloudspotter App? Colin, followed by the country you live in :))
Søren HaugeModeratorFantastic. Great sharing :)
Søren HaugeModeratorThe thread: uploading an image. And it works :-)
Søren HaugeModeratorBill, there is a guide by Gavin in the Forum
Søren HaugeModeratorWorks ;) A somewhat slow procedure compared to Facebook, but it works…

Søren HaugeModeratorInteresting :) The Danish King of England is known in English as Sweyn Forkbeard – and in Danish it is Svend Tveskæg. Suddenly I am reminded of the closeness between Denmark and England, now more peacefully. I found a picture of the king with stratocumulus in the background – but I leave it there ;)
Søren HaugeModeratorPerfect. Thanks. Having now stressed my “relaxed commitment” I might be more active than stated. But thanks for the freedom.
I think the Moderator Forum as separate it great. As long as one can change forum easy its a nice thing. Actually being here is better than on Facebook. So I warmly support it!
Søren HaugeModeratorOne question: Would it not be an idea to have a Moderator Forum in itself? It seems that there are many sub-themes making it relevant in itself. I think it could perhaps be inconvenient to have many things in just one thread. It could be side by side with this Forum. Just an idea :)
Søren HaugeModeratorThanks Gavin, for being admitted here in the test phase:) Having a badge already from the Cloudspotter App Moderator Team I don’t need another badge :) But if I have room for varied degrees of presence I could also help here as moderator. I am inclined to take upon me (too) many responsibilities, so I will limit myself and say that I volonteer as moderator here in the spirit of relaxed helpfulness…. if it makes sense :)
