Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks, Michael, and Wow! I agree with Hygge on the beauty of #139. You are so right about taking chances with certain uncertain clouds, perhaps sensing their potential with a different eye? If that’s the case, you obviously have that eye!
Finally, clouds didn’t just sail on by…
Rain!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks for posting the link, Hygge! Such beauty all around us, all around the world.
Patricia L KeelinParticipantSome gorgeous new images to delight us all above. Hans, Dashy is a liquid-like wonder. Definitely an all-time favorite. Ruth, I love that sense of beckoning you captured in Stripes No Stars. And Michael, is that a little figure doing a rain dance in #138? Looks like he’s getting some good results!

Patricia L KeelinParticipantMichael, thanks for sharing the link to your great website. Endless fun, isn’t it? Your octopus in that big sea of blue sky looks to be on the move, and like his sea-dwelling cousin, appears ready to take on a completely new form in the next moment.
Ah Ruth, your Anteater charms. Ever since I had an enchanting dream about a Myrmecophaga Tridactyla, I’ve been enamored by them. He too, looks to be on the move, as does your dashing quick Izzy.
And Hans, WOW! What is going on in El Dorado?! I want to read the story and see the film on that one. A fantastic image!
I think this next creature might also live in same neighborhood. I’m not sure if it only comes out at night.
Another El Dorado Resident?
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThose long lashes look set for dream mode, Hans, where visions like the Michael’s lovely lenticular clouds may drift by and morph into, well, just about anything.
Something Always Emerges
Patricia L KeelinParticipantGeorge, those are truly beautiful videos! Thank you so much for sharing them with us.
Love the delicate colors in Big Craters, Ruth. A little touch of iridescence can make a memorable sighting.
Hans, yes! I do remember well the fine detail in the photo you posted to the B&W topic a few weeks back. And a fine, colorful fox, you have there! Is he up to any mischief? Thank you, too, for kind comments on my recent postings above.
This one looks as if little tree branches poked the sun and some color leaked out.

Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove the calm flow in #1912, Michael, while #112 reminds me of Dante’s Inferno. Very dramatic!
And Hans, Here Comes the Sun is simply lovely.
Here is one that reminds me of a line in Mimi Farina’s song In the Quiet Morning, her touching tribute to Janis Joplin. Joan Baez (Mimi’s sister) sings it with great heart.
Tossed By The Tides Of Misfortune
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLots of exciting images have been shared here since I was last able to contribute to the topic. Love the variations! And funny how some contrails seem to do a clean line dance while others sway and swirl with wild abandon. Gorgeous golden color in your last one, Hans!
I don’t see many trails here lately, but this morning, there was this small segment.
The Bottom Line
Patricia L KeelinParticipantMichael, I see your cute cumulus chick hopped over to the Gallery. Congratulations!
The creature below was so startling in definition when I first saw him that I did a double-take. The original photo has only been cropped and contrast pushed just a bit to draw him out from the background. I only wish I could hear what he appears so eager to say.
Have You Heard The One About The…
Patricia L KeelinParticipantAh, thanks, Ruth! And so true about the joy of sharing what we’re so fortunate to see with others. In More Hide And Seek, I like the way you’ve used the trees in the foreground to block the sun, revealing the subtle beauty of clouds in the background.
And Hans, what a fantastic iridescent undulatus photo you’ve captured (featured on gallery). It is pure magic!
Solo Solar View
Patricia L KeelinParticipantPS: Beautiful photo of your Montana Lenticularis on the Gallery, Ruth. Twins!!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantSplendid studies in black & white, Ruth and Michael! Especially like your Mystery cloud, Ruth, and the choreography of your #1911, Michael. Gotta love those Lennys too. Haven’t see them around these parts in quite some time, so happy to find them hovering here.
Into The Grinder!
Patricia L KeelinParticipantNice pattern there, Michael. Reminds me of light dancing on water.
Whimsical Wind
Patricia L KeelinParticipantYou’re so right, Michael. This thread is full of whimsical, story-inspiring, other-worldly fun. A virtual Palace of Pareidolic Pleasure! To my eye, A Bird Perhaps? looks like a little chick cloud-maker using its breath to peep a tiny cloud into being.
Richard, a lovely winged creature you’ve captured there. Like you, I see a flying fish, plus a hint of dragon fly as well.
Today, in celebration of World Octopus Day, this wee one would like to join the thread.
At Home In A Deep Blue Sea of Sky
Patricia L KeelinParticipantA beautiful bath, Ruth! Still waiting here for something to puddle-jump into…
