ParticipantOn a warm day, I’ve gone back to view your Popsicle, Ruth. Thanks for the refreshing treat! Wasn’t sure it would still be there with that mystery animal about to devour it. And Barely There might be subtle, but still brings a smile. Also want to say WOW! on your double rainbow in the Gallery today — Congratulations! I had a feeling that was yours even before spotting the credit. It has your signature style.
And so glad you enjoyed the kiddie matinee, Hans! If the show was anything like your Looking Into The Sun, I’d stay for another viewing. It is mesmerizing.
Heading back to the archives again for a photo I’d cropped differently and posted to the B&W topic awhile back. Here it is with the color that caught my eye.

ParticipantThat’s some serious looking Dragon’s Breath, Richard! Looks like it might have frightened your cute little Snowshoe Hare, Ruth. And apparently he’s not the only one hoping (or hopping) to escape…
PS: Congratulations, Richard, on your artistic desert sky Cloud of the Day!
Swimming As Fast As I Can

ParticipantLove that wild sky, Michael! Can I add some more turbulence just for fun?

ParticipantRuth, your Curtain Call is a lovely apparition. I hope the temperatures have cooled down for you there. Michael, there is something fun about #120 with that little cloud floating along so loftily. And Hans, Fading Pattern has the relaxed feeling of a contented sigh… ah~~~~~~.
Lake Of Sky

ParticipantA sensuous, rosy launch, Hans. And followed by Ruth’s honey-colored glow and Michael’s gentle blush on blue, this is a beautiful start to Volume VIII.
Morning Has Broken

ParticipantMagic matched with the spectacular specter you’ve captured, Richard! And your idea of seeing clouds as think tank emanations has great appeal. Who knows what will the sky will come up with next?
And Hans, you’ve found it! The spirit of Dodo — a wonder to behold! In fact, what you’ve got there quite resembles some of the anatomical illustrations in one of my favorite books: Dodo: A Brief History by Errol Fuller. Lovely!
Still, how sad that some creatures have gone the way of that sweet odd bird. Here’s another that roams only the skies now too.

ParticipantSo pretty are the pinks you’ve captured, Michael. And it looks like it’s already time to put volume VII to bed. What a collection gathered here! I must confess to returning for another sip of Ruth’s Wine In The Water; Michael’s #702 & 719; and Hans’s Purples and Mirrored, but along the way, I re-enjoy each and everyone’s contributions. Many thanks to everyone: Ruth, Hans, Michael, Gregory, Sheryl, Philip, Donatella, Hygge.
Can’t wait to see what morning brings.
Nighty-Night

ParticipantThanks, Michael! I’d ever seen the clouds so rough-looking. Your #192 is more like something I could enjoy the warm comfort of. Love the subtle form there, as if something is nestled beneath (or I suppose that would actually be above) the covering.

ParticipantAh, danke je, Hans, for sharing in the fun and anticipation of what’s to come in this topic of wonders.
And you’ve captured exactly what I looked like in An Amazed Face after tilting my head while gazing at this unusual cloud shape…
Low and behold (and with a twist and a tweak of contrast), guess who’s there! If it isn’t our old friend…. looking like his mischievous self and as if he’s been cavorting through rainbows.Patricia L Keelin
ParticipantThank you, Michael and Hans. Can’t wait to see what surprises are in store for us here in this new volume.
Love the sleek look of those saucers, Michael, and the smooth sweep of that Big Wipe, Hans.
And now for a little texture…

ParticipantWhatever they were thinking in there, Richard, it looks like it was pretty exciting!
There’s thinking, of course, and then there’s dreaming. And sometimes those dreams take flight! See Clouds That Look Like Things, Volume V for the continuing story.

ParticipantSo many new beauties here from Hans, Ruth, and Michael since I last posted to this topic back in May. I continue to revisit many of them, taking more than a moment to breathe in the beauty of each one. And I thank you all for adding a sweet serenity to those intentional pauses in my day. Finally caught this lovely sunset yesterday evening.

ParticipantGreat patterns in your latest photos, Michael and Richard.
Floccus In Bloom

ParticipantMichael, love the dance moves of those soft, wispy clouds in #112, and the variety of moods in your latest three.
And Ruth, that looks like a gentle start to the day there.
Today we’ve had an influx of floccus, pretty much covering the entire sky at times.

ParticipantThanks, Ruth! Hope the skies soon clear for you there. The extreme heat makes everyone so nervous these days. I’m with you (and Wanda!) wishing to jump into something cooler.
Richard, I can see a dragon forming in your Smoke Signals. Is someone dreaming him up?
