Patricia L KeelinParticipantI must agree with Ruth and Hans on the beauty of #235, Michael. That said, your comment verifies how images can evoke a variety emotions for each viewer. I hope the sadness will fade like fog.
And surely, Hans, your fantastically Strange Two-Eared friend could have come from the abyssal depths! It reminds me of the amazingly real creatures written about in The Book of Barely Imagined Beings by Caspar Henderson (a remarkable read!). It leads one to wonder: How deep is the sky?

Abyssal Depths
Patricia L KeelinParticipantWelcome to the CAS Forum, Kathy. Looking up provides all kinds of amazing sights, doesn’t it?
And Ruth, you caught some great color in your latest. Love that accent of Joy.
This is only the second time I’ve seen Crow Vortex Instability. There was sometime different about the clear parallel lines that compelled me to watch. And suddenly, it happened!

Thought Interrupted
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you, Ruth! You caught some beautiful iridescence above, and I always love your moon shots. In your latest, my mind can’t help but see a bright (one-)eyed cloud fellow offering a friendly greeting. Your timing couldn’t have been better.

Lighting The Halo
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks, Michael I love the wild look of #158 and feather forms in #159.
And Ruth, those are some serious rays! Just what’s needed these days.

Some Cirrus To Cheer Us
Patricia L KeelinParticipantWow, Michael, #235 is a remarkable photo! Something about the movement you’ve captured there is suggesting to my mind a musical passage which is building in rhymic intensity.

Light Toss
Patricia L KeelinParticipantWelcome back, Duncan. Glad things are looking up again health-wise and time-wise for you. ;) And wow, what a flotilla you found on the field. Love the dramatic lighting.
We recently had some rather capricious winds here…

Mimicry
Patricia L KeelinParticipantSo glad to see your Old Dream posted, Hans! A wonderful image in and of its cloudy self, though I can’t quite shake the vision of a flying polar bear. And why not? In dreams, all can fly, right?

New Dream
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThanks, Ruth! That’s a fun catch of color you caught in your Hotdog.

Just Feeling Shy
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove the dance in #234, Michael. Somehow I’m not able to drag a photo directly from my (Mac) desktop into the box, but thankfully still able to post.

The Lingering Fog Of Yesternight’s Dreaming
Patricia L KeelinParticipantPS: Regarding the suggestion above: After clicking on the usual icon for inserting an image, now I think you can just click on the cropped writing that pops up. A window should then open allowing you to search through your files for the photo you want to upload.

A Mind Of Its Own
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThank you for kind comments, Hans. I’m hoping you can post photos again soon. Did you see suggestion in B&W topic? I’ll copy it below in case you see this first.
Thanks to you too, Ruth. And I love that Gentle Rain you captured. That curve in the clouds midway up is a nice bit of cloud ‘arch’itecture. Hope you were sheltered there.

Light In The Distance
Click the usual icon for inserting an image, then click and hover over the cropped writing on the right. A window should open where you can search your files for the photo you want to upload.
Patricia L KeelinParticipantHi Hans! I had trouble uploading photos on the updated site as well — until Ruth kindly gave guidance: Click the usual icon for inserting an image, then hover over the cropped writing on the right. A window should open where you can search your files for the photo you want to upload. I look forward as always to seeing your wonderful photos and reading your ever clever captions.
Patricia L KeelinParticipantLove that lacy look, Ruth, and the feathery sweep, Michael.
And I couldn’t agree with you more about the clouds having something to say. Now and again, they even appear to adopt remarkably recognizable letterforms. While one may look to the sky and ask Why?, the mind working its way into a tight philosophical tangle. Ever playfully, the clouds may clearly respond…

Y Knot
Patricia L KeelinParticipantThat’s a playful looking Poodle, Ruth!
And just so you know, no creatures were injured in the scene below.

What The Cat Brought In
Patricia L KeelinParticipantOh those blues! Love the sweep in Catch…, Hans, and the bubbly feeling of #156, Michael.
And Ruth, you caught the spot light just right in Anyone Have a Light — a lovely scene. And congrats on your misty morning on the Gallery! I imagine the fairies, those quiet, early risers, were already up to mischief in the woods there.
More blues anyone?
