Hans StockerParticipantWell I must truly apologize, Alec. What you consider a minor correction is one of enormous impact on the meaning of the text. Nevertheless a doomsday machine or an apocalyptic sleigh ride might both be associated with a wormhole through which your picture of Negasonic Apocalptic Warhead’s sleigh ride might have been taken. I am still impressed and curious about the distortions in spacetime that are clearly visible in the picture.
Could this typo be meant to unbalance you temporarily and tempt you to abandon just a mere glimpse of the secrets you are bound by contract to keep? If so, it was an obviously far to transparent attempt, which might be interpreted as an insult to your intelligence. Again I have to apologize sincerely!
How could I forget the embargo of a 100 years before interested researchers will be able to know the full, astounding truth about the findings of Dr. Corvidova, the very same one directing the institute where you are conducting your research. How could I dare to risk a legal conflict between you and this giant in petroglyphic science? It may have even have risked a conflict with yourself. I am so sorry….
Hans StockerParticipantThank you very much Alec. That is quite a compliment. No better way to start this day with!
Hans StockerParticipantEvery contribution is surprising over here. Blues, pinks, blues again with yellows. Wow.

Recognize the distant travelers at sunset?
Hans StockerParticipant
This Morning
Hans StockerParticipantThe poor lacerta looks like he passed through a wormhole Keelin. He did certainly not pass by the safe Bridge Michel provided.
Maybe the “megasonic warhead apocalyptic sleigh ride” did the same. I am still puzzled how you did that Alec. You distorted something very heavily. The roofs of the houses on other pictures seem to be there but rather squeezed.

Runes
Hans StockerParticipantGeorge, great #6. I had one ready, but now I have to hunt for a #7.
Alec, after installing GIMP I checked all my suspects and no Parry on this one. It would have been the third lucky shot after the two surprises I found. The convex Parry is still on my hunting list.
Keelin, your donut is remarkable. For me it looks like a halo. I assume Alec can shine a light on this?
Hans StockerParticipantLiminal. Sure! After all we must have known the sky smiled at you, Keelin.
Nice to see the curve crossed the pond.
Since the moment Alec gave the forum the push that we are now enjoying so much, I found more colored candidates in my archive and also quite some sundogs to share. Here is one.

Choreography For Ballerina With Fireball
Hans StockerParticipantHa, that helps. Beautiful all 4 sharply defined thin trails, Alec. Here is one with 5. It is a special one because it also show what might be a tangent arc in the cirrostratus. The 5 trails are not as sharply defined as is in #4.

Control Game #5
Hans StockerParticipantAlso in this thread the millstone grinds. And remembering memories lead us to memory lane, which offers such a peaceful view. A crazy Cephalopod awakens us from our dreams.

Left And Right
Hans StockerParticipantWow, very heavy Alec. What A sight. It is art as is Lost Horizon, Michael.
About the parhelion I agree it miraculously becomes special in B&W.
Next one I did not even convert to B&W.

Parhelion
Hans StockerParticipantThat is a story to remember Keelin. This kind of experiences are to be cherished. Heartwarming.
As to the arc I will put my money on a CZA. Not because of the layering of colors, but because of the upcurling circular form it seems to have.
Next one is certainly a part of the 22 degrees halo. I was walking the fields together with some biologists (which I am not) looking for rare plants. I had to explain what they would miss when they only looked down for beauty. We concluded it will be found everywhere you will look for it.

The Complete Proof Of The Curvature Of Spacetime
Or one might see Santa’s sleigh in it. Unfortunately he must have fallen of.
Hans StockerParticipantI agree with Keelin, Cloverpatch. Overwhelming colors!
Meanwhile Alec’s millstone keeps grinding sunsets, while I stitch them.

Hans StockerParticipantWelcome Cloverpatch. Very nice to contribute to the game. I only posted the #2 until now and I am not familiar yet with whatever rules Aec had in mind (or not) when he started the game, but I assume every new picture in the series has to have exactly 1 trail more than the one before. Correct me if I am wrong. Nevertheless a nice cross, so I look forward for new ones.
At this stage I begin to foresee that it can be hard to find each next one. In my archive I already can’t find a #4 although it seemed so simple. For other occasions the number of trails is not easily counted. I suppose that will be the fun it. Making a cutout of a picture with the right number is a bit of cheating maybe. So I will have to go out hunting for a #4. Etcetera.
Just for now:

Hans StockerParticipantAlec your spectral war pig is great. It could have been in three threads. Correct me if I am wrong. The reflections in the contrail make it special.
Michael your Sleigh Ride is Magical.
No escape. Snow-crystals were to come from Keelin.

I Am Sorry No Rudolph
