ParticipantHygge, there are a number of explanations, none really convincing. Here is a google search:

ParticipantHans, I like how you fit in those clouds as background.

ParticipantThanks Laurence for the nice shot. The blue moon will also be eclipsed, partially in New York, where I live. But it looks like it is a total eclipse in the UK.

ParticipantBeautiful! Though I have to wonder what it is composed of. Looks like one shot early or late in the day, by the matching shade on the ridge and the rainbow. What was added, as if something was missing? I guess we would have to ask the author …

ParticipantDeborah, I was a bit confused myself early on, This is the forum of the CAS, where CAS members say what they feel like saying, post pics and links, asks questions, etc.
Not every CAS member is a cloudspotter app user and, I think, vice-versa. But there are some cloudspotter app users who participate in this forum. So you have a chance of getting an answer.
However, the cloudspotter app has its own support team, support@cloudspotterapp.com. There is an FAQ page, which you have probably seen:
https://cloudspotterapp.com/faq.html
So for questions like why was my cloud not verified, or technical questions it’s better to contact the support team. For advice and opinions, maybe the Forum is better. Everyone is very nice.
Anyway, welcome, and show us some nice pictures.
PS Yes, badges do not materialize immediately after achievements. Yours came after a while. I had the opposite experience. One of my shots was chosen as photo of the day (in fact many days after I took it). I did not know, so I was very surprised one day when I got the cloud of the day badge. Only to find my picture shown the next day. So the background workings of the app are a bit of a mystery. But it works.

ParticipantVery interesting to hear about your system, Michael. I still have a full time job, so not so many opportunities to take pictures and time process them, but I have a backlog. You gave me some good ideas on how to approach it. Thanks for sharing this.

ParticipantYour explanation and the second shot. make it clearer that the clouds are two levels. Still, very fine undulatus. Thank you!

ParticipantMichael, I thought the monsoon was in the summer. Or are these shots from some time back?
