ParticipantSo good to see so many enthusiastic responses, here on the Forum, to Saturday’s Cloud Extravaganza! Kim, Karen, Lynn, Becky, Joanna and others on other threads – please keep the cloud conversations going! It’s so good to share other people’s thoughts/experiences/pictures/talents/enthusiasms. Contributions to the Forum have often not only made me ‘look up’, but also ‘think sideways’ – “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio/Than are dreamt of in your philosophy”.

ParticipantLoved your work, Stefan! I think painting the sky and clouds well is as challenging as depicting the sea and waves – to be able to capture the ephemeral in paint or pencil is magical.

ParticipantMike – the day ticket is £88 for CAS members, not £100+ – would you reconsider? It’s not too late!

ParticipantSorry I won’t be meeting you or Mike at the Conference, ‘H’- maybe we can consider doing some regional mini-conferences next year if there’s enough interest….
Yes, I still wear an ‘education hat’ for the Forum, even though there is no longer a dedicated education section (and despite the fact that I retired from teaching three years ago) and the Hillier Gardens work sounds interesting. I note that the weather topic is designed for Foundation Stage children – my experience is with Key Stage 2, so the lessons I designed were mostly Language/Literature and Science based for children from 9 to 11. If this is of any use, I would be happy to help.

ParticipantMaybe I love them, Mike! They are a balm to the soul – thank you.

ParticipantAha! I commented on the Grand National winner at the end of my last posting on Mike’s ‘Clouds in Black and White’ thread. Wish I’d looked at the list of runners before the race: I’d definitely have taken a punt on it!

ParticipantA couple of stunning trios, Mike – shear joy!
On a different tack (sorry!), I wonder if any Cloud Appreciators put money on the winner of the Grand National yesterday – ‘Many Clouds’. At 33-1, I certainly wish I had!Gini Wells
ParticipantAt last – a worthwhile version of Fifty Shades of Grey!!

ParticipantThe links worked for me, ‘H’, on my Android tablet as well as on my laptop. Wonder why they don’t for you…….any thoughts, anyone?

A couple of poor-quality images from this morning in Exeter. The clouds thinned just in time for me to grab a few pictures with my phone camera. Should have taken the proper camera, of course…….

ParticipantThey become mandalas. Wonderful.

ParticipantLOVE the goose! Hope that one’s gone in the CAS Gallery, Mike. The lovely ‘meditation in grey’ that you sent me in hi-res is now on my wall – I pass it each time I go up or down the stairs. Thank you.

ParticipantHi Andy, I am in Exeter and I’ve sailed into the Dart on a friend’s boat (moored in the Exe) many a time. Estuaries make for some of the best water/sky photos and we have some of the best estuaries in England, to my way of thinking. If any other Devon members express an interest in getting together, I’m happy to have a go at organising something before Gavin starts setting up the ‘Chapters’formally.

ParticipantWelcome, Andy – and thanks for the lovely sunset. You should be able to load the photo directly into your message, rather than as a link (but there was no problem with the link, it worked perfectly). Have a look at Gavin’s ‘Uploading an image’ thread. Whereabouts in south Devon are you? I’m also in Devon – hope you’ll be a member of the Devon ‘Chapter’, when we get one established! Happy cloudwatching.

ParticipantHi Mike, I’m a moderator, too, but I couldn’t work out how to change the title – I’m probably being very dense!
