At last!
Duncan BulmanParticipantWhat a difference a day makes, 24 little hours
From this to…

Duncan BulmanParticipantSometimes we say that we got booted out of a thermal – this must be the culprit.
Duncan BulmanParticipantTwo photos taken about 40 minutes apart.
Duncan BulmanParticipantThe clouds didn’t disappoint on Cloud Appreciation Day.
Room for one more?
Duncan BulmanParticipantGiuseppe, so true.
A beautiful French bird waiting to fly.
Duncan BulmanParticipantCan we do one more?
Duncan BulmanParticipantA handheld shot taken with my phone so a little bit fuzzy.
Stepped outside to take in the cool night air and was treated to this spectacle. The photo doesn’t do it justice.

You’re welcome, Ruth.
Duncan BulmanParticipantRuth,
A little photography trick is done to capture the colours that are often washed out. If your camera has a sunset setting then switch to that and see what you get, it should make the colours more vivid.
Duncan BulmanParticipantHigh and Heaped, nothing but Altocumulus
Duncan BulmanParticipantA little afternoon diffraction.
Duncan BulmanParticipantEarthbound, Heavenly sent.
Duncan BulmanParticipantOn this dog day afternoon, I thought it was about time I post something.
As Above, So Below
Duncan BulmanParticipantHans,
Dog days are the hottest period of the year, the period between early July and early September, when Sirius, the so-called Dog Star, rises and sets with the sun.
From Wikipedia:
The dog days or dog days of summer are the hot, sultry days of summer. They were historically the period following the heliacal rising of the star system Sirius (known colloquially as the “Dog Star”), which Hellenistic astrology connected with heat, drought, sudden thunderstorms, lethargy, fever, mad dogs, and bad luck. They are now taken to be the hottest, most uncomfortable part of summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
There was also a movie entitled, “Dog Day Afternoon” which was about a bank robbery gone wrong, probably the title comes from the bad luck element.
