Nice Illusion Keelin, painterly! To answer your question Ruth..howabout..Filigree..the wind blown filigree cloud..There s an idea for a line of cloud jewelry. It was cumulus that got quickly shredded by some winds. Wolves I tell you.

Robert. I suggest the two lower darker clouds are undulatus as most of the clouds in the photo are. That they are 90 degrees opposed to the other makes sense. The winds that create undulatus are thought to be chaotic. When I see undulatus I see swirling currents of air at various speeds and directions. creating the cloud feature. The two clouds are not part of the main body so winds at the edges are doing their own creations. The other possibility is that they are lenticulars. Im use to seeing lenticulars in mass, not just a one or two. Nice shot capturing the purples of sunset!

Keelin you captured the end of the day lite thru the trees and cloud nicely. Ruth, Trees looks like stain glass work.They talk about the blue hour, looks like you captured the gold hour. “Drink” is surreal! Nice shot!
