Mary Romer, member 50,765, wrote telling us about cloud paintings she has completed this year whilst living through these extraordinary times as well as the Cloud Garden Art Initiative.
This a 30 X 30, Diptych painted in acrylics called “Pacific Blaze” by Michael Armstrong.
Cloud enthusiast Kay Gallwey, asks if anyone noticed the sky over Hampstead, London NW3 on the evening of Sunday, 7th October at 18.23?
Sherry Palmer (member 27151) painted this purple edged cloud covering Beinn Sgritheall, on the mainland across the Sound of Sleat, Skye in early September
Eli Bajet, member 31,060, isbased in Ontario Canada and takes pictures of the clouds, dressing them with colors to create abstract colorful art.
Artist, Denise Clark Weston, sent us her latest oil on canvas “Ocean Walk” painting. You can see more of her work on her website.
Celia Parker, member 38266, was on a recent visit to Norway when they saw an unusual cloud formation.
Hayley Richards, member 52,003 lives in Hanover, New Hampshire and told us she has been inspired to paint clouds recently.
Karen Fitzgerald, member 40834, lives and works in NYC and has been painting clouds off and on for 10 years.

Susan Wishart, member 14381, started photographing clouds back in 2002 and had no idea what she would do with the photographs
Richard Bacon, Member 51,546, sent us this photograph of a mural by Chris Finlayson, a New Zealand artist, who completed this work in 1984 at Wakefield Quay, Nelson, New Zealand. Chris Finlayson said of the work, “Whatever I painted there on the edge of land and sea …. would stand as a portal of softer human expression within the context of a hard edged, often unforgiving artificial urban environment.” The building once housed the electricity generating plant providing power to Nelson City. “Aotearoa” at the bottom of the mural is the Maori name for New Zealand, and the most common translation of this is “The Land of the Long White Cloud.”
Member 49,675, Linda Ben-Zvi, submitted this landscape which was painted by her fiancé, Paul, the summer of their wedding.
Daryl D Johnson, member 45193, paints with oil on canvas. She tells us she paints clouds to show the earth is breathing and it’s a mindfulness practice for her.
Yvonne Maximchuk, member 50,031, told us “sometimes I sleep on my deck in my easy chair, never knowing what I might see when I open my eyes…”
Molly Davies, member 42,846, recently shared her cloud painting. Molly is an artist based in Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK and painted this scene in February 2017 year from a viewpoint in Teggs Nose Country Park.
Miya Ando, Member 22,851, is an American artist who uses a wide variety of materials such as steel, wood, glass, aluminium and paper to create paintings, drawings, sculptures, and installations. She currently has an exhibition entitled “Seventy-two Microseasons: Cloud Aspects” on view until February 28 2026 at the Maki Gallery, Tokyo.

Michael has a new exhibition entirely related to clouds. He’s been working on the set of pictures for the last two years. It is being held at St Neots Museum, 8 New Street, St Neots, PE19 1AE from 6th to 30th May 2015.
