You can just see that the bridge has actually been opened for one of the last Thames sailing barges to pass through.

Thanks for this shot.
As a former Londoner and now living in Yate (11 miles NE of Bristol) this shot rings a certain bell with me. I worked in the area for some 15 years and got to know it very well indeed. The clouds are lovely. It is so pleasing to see the bascules of Tower Bridge open. I guess they were specially opened to mark HM Queen Elizabeth II’s reign surpassing that of Queen Victoria. The Queen on that day was in Scotland (Braemar)but the bascules were opened, in her absence, to mark the occasion and respect the longevity of her reign.
