Robert PearsonParticipant
This is a pan photo, which is why there is a curve, and shows just 2/3 to 1/2 of the entire cloud left to right.
Robert PearsonParticipantThis photo shows the part of the cloud that was at the top of the formation from this viewpoint. I was looking almost straight up.
Robert PearsonParticipantThe cloud in the post at 7:00 a.m. was just part of a really huge cloud formation with different compoments. I’ll post 4 photos showing different apsects of the entire cloud. This first one was taken at my house (the earlier one was about a mile away in town). This firt photo shows parts of four major components, which all seemed to be tied together.
Robert PearsonParticipantJust your typical downtown cloud…. WA state.
Robert PearsonParticipantI don’t know if this is the right place for this photo, but it’s a night sky in WA with a small lenticular cloud above Mt Rainier, probably lit by the Seattle/Tacoma area lights.
Robert PearsonParticipantWashington sunrise with color similar to Michael’s Jul 3 Arizona sunset #904. This was on Jun 3, 2022, and shows multiple layers and cloud types. I’m curious how people would label the two darker clouds at the nottom mddle of the photo.
Robert PearsonParticipantBarring other possibilities, contrails would seem to be the most likely, and their position might make them look differently than the usual contrails I see. While it’s highly unlikely it’s a commercial flight, it could be miitary, and militray jets do fly by sometimes. Unless someone comes up with another idea, that’s what I’ll go with for now. Thanks!
Robert PearsonParticipantFirst post and not sure of procedure yet. I’m also beginning with cloud ID. Cirrus but what kind and maybe cirrocumulus at the bottom?
