Hans StockerParticipantDear Laurence,
I am glad you liked the link I provided but it is too much honor to say I educated you. It is the unsurpassed website atoptics that provides the education, and I must say also my education.
It is also really nice to recommend the site to everybody who is interested. That’s what CAS is also about: always something to learn. I love it.

Hans StockerParticipantThanks for sharing this pillar and tangent arc Laurence. You always remember me to check the NASA APOD’s. I do the same with atoptics and to my surprise I see today this OPOD on atoptics. Maybe you are interested to find more details of the explanation:
Hans StockerParticipantYou both spotted some very nice granular cirrocumulus above Michael and Keelin. Quite applicable to describe it as a sky-filled murmuration, Keelin.

All Along The Watchtower
Hans StockerParticipantMending Some Socks needs a delicate needle and it also show some very nice delicate colors Ruth.
The sketch lines that in ‘In The Neighborhood’ shows are marvelous Keelin. Did you realize these are three distrails and one contrail? That makes a contrail count of -2. We did not have that one before, so congrats with that one! Love it.

Pointillistic Contrail
Hans StockerParticipantI just scrolled back in this thread and then I encountered Dust To Dust by Keelin. I didn’t mention it before but that one is magical. Might that one be also one of your illusions Keelin?

Saw Teeth
Hans StockerParticipantYes Philip. That’s a nice example of KH imo.
Hans StockerParticipant
Above The North Sea
Hans StockerParticipantI understand you suspect it to be KH, but I have doubts Julia. Best case it has been KH where the crests don’t show anymore. In any case you spotted a situation in the sky where you might find KH. Anyway a nice sunset.
Hans StockerParticipantI want to add that you spotted asperitas as well. Very nice Julia.
Hans StockerParticipantThe last ones of you two are really engrossing illusions. In particular I love Keeping Track Of The days by Keelin and Arizona B&W #722 as well. I always will keep track of this thread.

Feathery
Hans StockerParticipantWow, the subtle colors in Arizona Color #705 are amazing Michael. Followed by the tunes of a Rhapsody in Blue by Ruth.
