ParticipantI remembered it, Hans, and since it came (via you) from an earlier thread about blue, it struck me as relevant. I usually use this thread as an excuse to post random pictures from the gallery.

A well known song of his is Parchment Farm. I found another farm, ‘Backlit Clouds on ByOak Farm’ it is about the fourth picture down the list:

ParticipantLaurence, I agree your links to the BBC Weather Watchers are always interesting. But I don’t know how you would close-couple BBC/CAS and keep that CAS uniqueness.
N.B. I am having trouble linking a Gallery picture in the Tributes thread – something has changed….

aka Manuel, ‘I am from Barcelona’ in the Fawlty Towers TV comedy
But you will have to search ‘Barcelona’ in this Forum to get a picture of Barcelona. If you then click on the picture (04914) in the top left line per usual you only get this link (to the Gallery currently starting with the Supermoon over Neath, S. Wales)

ParticipantI think we have some crossed lines in this thread.
The Photo Editor’s #183186 mystery object seems to me to come from CAS’ Cloud Of The Month for November 2016. It does not seem to be related to this thread of Michael’s.
Would MikeL and the Photo Editor agree?

ParticipantWell, re #184477 above, perhaps I was lucky as my soccer team won away to a rival for promotion that day. But life has its ups and downs, not a rainbow in sight today – we lost at home.

ParticipantIt’s a first for me – fascinating. It should interest Fujiko Nakaya,, ‘Fog’ Artist i Newspaper calls her
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-38083269i says her father made the first artificial snowflakes; she first became interested in fog after painting clouds. There are many media links about her.
Last Tuesday there were several standard rainbows in S. Hampshire, UK. The one I saw was centred over a tree with a dozen or more clumps of mistletoe – I should be so lucky.
