Laurence GreenParticipantThanks, George, for getting back to me and the additional information you have usefully provided. I will certainly follow up upon the links you kindly provided.
Be assured from me, you are not picky in any way. That CAS members, like you, share information with each other is always to the good.

Laurence GreenParticipantThanks kindly, Hygge, for this very interesting set of photos. A wonderful share.
I especially like the first photo – the “ice sugar cube”. When I used to undertake photography, that is, before my eyesight packed up big time, I had a panache for photos like this.
Thanks again.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantAll hearty congratulations to Gavin, our grand Founder member of the CAS, for getting the accolade, well deserved, in achieving the rightful recognition of this type of cloud, at last, officially recognised.
Well done, Gavin, and all those at the CAS who helped in this milestone being achieved.

What would I give to see something likes this?!? Ponderous thoughts…Certainly worth dying in a ditch for!
Splendid vista by a long chalk.
Laurence
Laurence GreenParticipantThanks for this image sharing, Hygge.
This tree is certainly photogenic. I think of how it might appear in monochrome – my favourite photographic medium portrayal of a scene like this one.

Here are images taken from Google Images of the famous and fabulous Ribbleshead Viaduct. The gaps in the many arches are very apparent. As you remarked previous, the viaduct is under repair, hence, the blanking out / in-filling of the arches whilst repair work undertakes. I can tell you first hand, it is extremely windy there, even on a summer’s hot day – an ideal location for cooling down and admiring the clouds above.
