ParticipantGreat examples of K-H. In a pareidolic sort of way, they remind me of chicken heads popping out of the clouds which is perfect considering the location.

ParticipantThis is quite possibly one of the finest photos I’ve ever seen on this forum.

ParticipantLithic epicness!
A very minor correction if I may. I’m quite convinced that you were resolved to type “negasonic” rather than “megasonic“. Apocalypticists all concur that there is a vast difference between the two, the former being a doomsday weapon capable of producing total, instantantaneous and complete annihilation. The latter, however,is some kind of industrial cleaning procedure….
Whilst I am always very happy to share photo tips with others, on this occasion I am afraid that I will have to refrain from doing so. As many of you may know, I am conducting post post-doctoral research into petroglyphic image analysis at the Institute. We are in the process of developing many new techniques of which this is just one of many. As part of the terms and conditions of my employment, I am required not to pass on details of advanced blue sky processing techniques to interested third parties. I’m sure you will understand that I am very reticent to break the terms of my contract.

ParticipantKeelin, Hans, it is certainly not a halo. A few thoughts.Could it be some kind of sensor related artefact or afterimage? Internal reflection? Does the car have tinted windows causing a polarisation effect?

ParticipantGreat! I think it is going to become much harder from hereon in. Any takers for number six?!
Definitely a uta. Try the b-r method on the original to see whether there is a faint sunvex Parry lurking along with the uta.

ParticipantHans, you are correct, each contribution to the game must have exactly one contrail more than the preceding one. Here is number four to help you out,

ParticipantIn your face, end of the world, negasonic warhead apocalyptic sleigh ride. Boom!

ParticipantIndeed, the right hand parhelion does lift it. However, increasingly I find that if an image is somewhat lacking in colour it miraculously becomes special in B&W. Somewhere I have a couple of examples of 120 parhelia in contrails; I’ll try to find them.
