What Is This Smudgy “Smile”?

It is a conundrum to me this smudgy smile. The only thing I can come up with is a hair or something alike on your sensor. I say that because I once had a series of images with something like this (although smaller and not in the middle of image). Later it turned out to be a hair that was stuck within the camera.
When this is the case you must have had this smudgy smile on more images. When that’s not the case my suspicion turns out to be nonsense. Just a try… -
I like Hans’s idea of a hair in on the sensor, however, unless it is aligned absolutely perfectly with the 22 degree halo, I don’t believe it is. It may be from overprocessing the image, or it could be something that went wrong with your camera, only with this specific image(unless there are indeed more). Lovely capture by the way!
