April 7 of this year was a very good cloud day for me . All of the color photos of the ” Lacunosus ” thread were taken in the morning of April 7. When I got home after work, a fantastic display of virga waited for me over the backyard. The first shot gives you scale. That is the top of a carob tree in the front yard. From that you may see that the virga is low, and miles long. I also noted that this cloud event was special in another regard; the clouds were moving north to south, rather than the usual, southwest to northeast. The center of the show seemed to be passing right over my location.!
