ParticipantI like this one more than the one in today’s Gallery Ruth, even tho there is no K-H in this one, the eye movement is explosive. Deciding the pattern for a ceramic tile backsplash in the kitchen is like do you want it to complement the cabinets and countertop or standout against one or the other? Like cabinetry, all the undulatus is oriented in the same direction. How did you get them to do that?

ParticipantMichael, thanks for noticing my gallery entry. I just though realized that I had submitted that photo last fall. Of course, now there are two. At least I am consistent. How I get the clouds to line up correctly is to whistle at them. They have a minute a line up.
A delicate touch.

ParticipantSome instability in the skies today around these parts. (1st image in RAW and scaled down to fit, 2nd is also compressed by using a more natural light)

ParticipantRuth, your Big Sky shots are impressive. Time slips by enjoying the scale.Donatella, Nice work with the yellows! Lots of fun to look at! Brian the daisies in the yard remind us what all the rain and storms are all about.

ParticipantThanks Michael. I have a few places I love to visit that have these 360-degree views. Add some mountains and wind, clouds seem to happen.

ParticipantNot sure if this counts as a cloud “scape” but I wasn’t sure where else to post. I’ve just come back from Glastonbury Festival (UK). It was very hot. On the last day as we were packing up, I was watching some little cumulus humilis struggling to stay in the sky, with their tops being buffeted by the winds – not quite enough to give me the little curls I was hoping for – but so many “nearly” moments before they eventually dissipated completely.
As we were heading to the cars with our final load before departing, I looked up again, just in case and … saw my first ever supercilium clouds. They were all that was left in the sky! A reward for slogging up and down hills in the searing heat. Photo’s a bit fuzzy but I caught them!
